Chapter 20 - It Finally Happened!

(Katrina's POV)

He'd set his guitar down before he asked the question... And it's a good thing to.

"Yes." I jumped into his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck. He stood up and spun me around. Then, Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Abi ran in.

"Ahhhh! Yes! It finally happened!" Abi squealed.

"yeah." I said shyly.

"Now, if you'll excuse us, we've got our first date to go on." Niall said taking my hand and leading me out of the loft. I turned to Abi and smiled like crazy.

"Bye!" I said to everyone.

"Later!" They answered back.

　

(Niall's POV)

"So where are we going?" Kat asked.

"You know, I'm not really sure. I didn't know I'd make it this far."

"Well, where ever we end up is fine with me." She squeezed my hand, as I brought her hand up to my lips. She blushed.

"You're so adorable when you blush."

"Oh shut up." She teased as she poked my stomach.

As we walked on, we ended up at a park... That'll work!

"And here we are." I stated.

"The park?"

"Yep. That okay with you?"

"Perfect! I wanna swing, push me!" She darted over to the swings and I chased after her.

"Your so childish!" I teased.

"Oh and you're not, Mr. Finding Nemo is my favorite movie of all time?"

"Okay, you got me there."

She smiled. "Now push."

"yes ma'am."

I pushed her for about five to ten minutes. As I did, I looked around at the little park we were at. It was pretty empty, only two families here. A mom and dad with their little kid, and an older couple sitting on a bench.

"What's next Niall?" She asked as she slowed and stopped the swing.

"I don't know, what do you want to do?"

"Walk and talk."

"That rhymes, so... Okay."

I took her hand and we started walking around the park. She was quiet for the first few minutes, but then she spoke.

"Can I ask you something Niall?"

"Of course."

"Was this just a spur of the moment thing, or have you liked me for a while... Please be honest, don't just say what you think I want you to say."

"To be completely honest, I've liked you since that first day i met you when we cam home with Liam from the X Factor."

"Nuh uh."

"It's true, now what about you?"

"Since then too." She said looking at the ground. She moved on to another question. "Why didn't you ask me out before?"

"Well... Either we were never around each other, I was too nervous, or you had a boyfriend."

"Speaking of boyfriend, thanks."

"For what?"

"You were mainly the only one there for me with the whole Danny thing. Well, Abi was there, but... You know what I mean."

"Don't mention it. I just really hate that jerk."

"Yeah... I just wish I wasn't so blind. i should have seen his true colors a lot sooner than I did."

I stopped, and turned her to me.

"Katrina, don't put that whole thing on you. It wasn't your fault. That boy is just an arse, and not worth anything. But it's over now, what's past is past."

"Thanks Ni."

"No problem." I took hold of both of her hands, and leaned down so that our noses were close to touching. She stood up on her toes and rubbed her nose against mine.

"Oh... Young love. That's so sweet." We both turned in the direction of the voice. It was the older couple I'd seen earlier.

I put my arm around Kat's shoulders, and we both smiled at them as we started walking again.

"Are you getting hungry?" I asked.

"Yeah, you? Wait, I don't even have to ask. You're always hungry!"

"You got that right. Now, there's a Cafe not to far from here. We could walk there if you'd like?"

"Sounds good. Let's go."

　

---At the Cafe---

(Katrina's POV)

Our whole date was going better than i ever could've imagined. He's even sweeter than before, which I didn't think at all possible. And when ever he put his arm around me, or held my small hand in his large one, I just felt... I don't know, content? Like nothing could hurt me or put me out of my great mood. And that older couple at the park, that just gave me butterflies in my stomach. That one word: Love.

"Niall... That was probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me... You singing me that song."

"Oh, it was nothing."

"It wasn't just nothing! It was incredible!"

"Liam helped me... I was clueless on what to do to get you to actually say yes, so he suggested sing a song... And, you know the rest."

"Yeah... This is all just so crazy."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, ever since I saw you that first day, I always thought about what our first date, our first kiss, our first, everything would be like... Let's just say, I've really liked you fir a while..." I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks. I can't believe I just confessed that.

"Well, you know what our first date is like..."

"Yeah," Where's he going with this?

Then before I know it, he's leaning in. Then, there's that split second where you're terrified of what the kiss will be like. Will it be lower or higher than your expectations? Then, it happens and everything is perfect. He cupped my face with his hands and pressed his lips to mine. I'd kissed Danny before, but it was nothing compared to this... This was even better than my first kiss with Eric. It kind of makes me upset that I didn't save my first kiss for Niall.

Then he pulls away, slowly, and then tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear and says,

"And now you know what our first kiss is like."
