Ch.26 In Between Events

"I'm telling you, we need their help." said Ariel Ace to the team.

The Ones are inside the Command Center. Green Blitz ordered a meeting. The meeting is about a plan to defeat Fire Wing. So far, none have came up with a brilliant plan. Ariel Ace is trying to convince Green Blitz to let Dragon Fire and Frost to help them out. Green Blitz has not yet been convinced. Dragon Fire and Frost helped the team out in several occasions. The first occasion was when they needed help against L'assassino. L'assassino was the first rival that The Ones ever face. That's where they met Dragon Fire and Frost. After the defeat of L'assassino, Dragon Fire and Frost have become the closest allies of The Ones. And now, Ariel Ace wants their help. "Listen, Ariel," said Scout Smiles, "we already have Toxic Remix and Shine Twister involved in this. And their lives danger because of it. Not even their own homes are safe for them. That's why they're still here. We can't risk putting Dragon Fire's and Frost's lives in jeopardy."

"Scout has a point, Ariel." said Green Blitz. "Besides we'll be able to handle it."

"We already had this discussion the other day." said Brimmer.

"About what?" Asked Alli.

"Remember, we are not an island. We are just ponies. But even ponies that are fighting for justice needs help from their allies. If they don't receive any help from their allies, then they have already lost." said Taffy.

"Wow." said Ivory Keys, "that's deep."

"See what I mean."

"Well I guess you're right. We'll get-"

Then the door to the Command Center opened. Nocturnal Moon and Black Heart came inside. Lighting wasn't with them. Nocturnal Moon and Black Heart looked weak. They had cuts and bruises. They could barely walk. Blood was dripping from their wounds. "What the hell happen?" Asked Green Blitz.

"We've been ambushed." replied Black Heart.

"Ambushed? By who?"

"By a stallion who calls himself Midnight Silver." Answered Nocturnal Moon. "He came out of nowhere. Soon after we defeated Flame Runner, we were heading back. All of a sudden, we got pulled down to earth. We landed and saw an unicorn stallion. He began to attack us. Lighting Runner told us to go. We refused. But he kept on telling us to go. Finally we did. I turned around and saw Lighting Runner getting beat. Then Midnight Silver left with Lighting."

"Damn it. Take us there."

They all left to the crime scene. After about a half hour, they arrived to the crime scene. The crime scene was right next to a forest. A few animals crawl around. Nothing else was visible. But there were some sounds. Sounds like birds chirping and frogs croaking. They saw nothing else. "There's nothing here." concluded Harmony.

"Yes there is." Said Toxic Remix. "Look there's a blood trail."

The Ones looked and saw that Toxic was right. There is a blood trail but it was short. It looked like if Midnight Silver was dragging Lighting Runner. Then they vanished with out a trace. "Damn. Now what?" Asked Ace Tech.

Alli looked up and saw a red figure heading towards them. She saw who it was. Starberry was heading towards them. A few moments later, she landed next them. Starberry looked like if she is going to pass out. She lay on the ground. She managed to raise her head up and say, "Green Blitz, we must stop Fire Wing."

"Where is he?" Asked Green Blitz.

"He's at a factory. The factory is behind the Conterlot Woods."

"Scout Smiles, you'll come with me. Ariel Ace, you'll be in charge of The Ones until I come back. Let's go."

The team saw Green Blitz and Scout Smiles leave. "Lets take Starberry back to headquarters." Ariel Ace said.

"No." said Starberry. "We'll be safer here."

"But you need medical attention."

"The medics can bring their medical supplies here. While they're at it, tell them to bring the guards and my daughter here."

Ariel Ace looked at the medics and said, "do as you are told."

The medics left to get supplies and the rest of the team.
