We May Have Just Destroyed The World. Oops

My name is Max; you are on a first name basis here. Giving you my last name could endanger my life. In fact writing this puts me in more danger but I have to in order to save your life. Let me tell you about me, about my kind and me.

I am in 10th grade but let me assure you, I am not a normal 10th grader. See, there is a group of us in my school, 10 of us to be exact. There is Christina (or Chris), Zoe, Brooklynn, Claire, Cole, Derek, Finn, Mateo, Alec, and I. See, we all have the power of 2 gods and can control an element. These gods are not just any gods they are... well they are hard to explain but I'll try just for your sake. These gods are not like Greek or Roman gods, they each have different aspect they control and then subcategories inside those aspects. For example, some are animal gods but there can be one that can shape shift into animals and another that can speak to animals. We all have unique powers that help us kill monsters and save peoples lives. Take me for example; I can manipulate air, I can communicate with someone in my mind, and I can create portal.

I'm gonna tell you the rest of my teams powers but its gonna take a little. Claire can turn invisible, she can bring objects to life, and has liquid mimicry, and she can manipulate fire. Zoe can summon any weapon by just thinking about I, she can manipulate people's minds to do what she wants, and she can control ice. Brooklynn has x-ray vision, she can shape shift into any animal or person she has seen before, and she can control water. Christina can heal almost any wound, she can take away someone or something's energy, can control people and certain gods, and she can bend earth. Derek can run super fast, he can blow things up by looking at them, and he can control fire. Finn can encase people in a protective shield, he can look into the future, and he can control ice. Mateo can read peoples minds, he can make things go through walls and stuff or he can walk through things like walls, and he can bend earth. Alec can go back in time, can turn himself into a man made of iron, he has a iron stick that can turn into a mini airplane, motoercycle, or car, and he can control air. Lastly, Cole can control water, can control the wether, and has telekinesis.

You may think it would be fun to have these or any other powers, but when the fate of the world depends on you and your team of teens it's really not fun. You put your, and your friends, life at risk and you don't really get to see your family because you have an aura that attracts monsters. I guess you might be asking yourself 'How did you guys meet?' or 'Why did you get chosen?' Well most of us meet because our parents know each other and because we go to a private boarding school in New York where we have been good friends (some more than others) for about 3 years now. Our parents think the school we got transferred to (for people like us) in Colorado is an elite boarding school and I guess it is but it also teaches how to control our powers and weapons training and Cov. Ops. or Covert Operations class for our secret missions. Here, we met 4 others of our team. 'Why us?' well because there were too many of us in one school and we were starting to attract monsters to New York. Also because we all sorta knew we had powers but didn't know exactly how to use them so whenever we got really emotional bad things happened. We all had tried to control them but it was just no use, we didn't know how to use them, until that day.
