Alice's POV

After Build a bEar, we headed to my place because I wanted to see if my family was still mad at me and if they were, I was just gunna grab clothes.

We were currently walking up my driveway up to the front door. I fumbled with my keys, but managed to find the right one that opened the door.

"Mom? Sophie?" I said as we entered the house. I wondered if they were home. A few minutes after wandering around Mom popped out of the kitchen.

"Alice? Where were you? I was so worried." my mom said in a rushed tone.

"Well I'm here. No need to worry." I replied. She stared at me for a second before looking behind me to find Luke standing there nervously.

"You. If she never met you, none of this would've happened." my mom said angrily.

"Ok seriously? How many times do I have to tell you. It wasn't his fault." I yelled.

"Yes it is. Alice, you know it is. If you never became friends with him, you wouldn't have told him anything." she yelled back. "Why couldn't you have become friends with girls who are normal. Like the girls Sophie hangs around with?" she asked.

"Ok first off, it's not Luke's fault. Second, I hate girls like that. They're all sluts and they're selfish brats. Third, I suggest you tell Sophie to stop hanging around them because she's turning into a brat too." I retorted. My mother just stood there looking shocked.

We just stared at each other before I spooke. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm picking up some clothes. I'm staying at Luke's for as long as I can. Call me when you guys choose to stop being stuck in the past." I said with furrowed eyebrows before walking up to my room.

I collected my things and I didn't even say anything to my mom. I just walked out with Luke and we headed to his house.

We were currently driving to back to his place.

"You know, you can stay at my house for as long as you need to. I'm sure my mum doesn't mind." he said breaking the silence and snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Thanks Luke. I'm really sorry if I'm taking up room. I just don't want to be in the same house as those people. I'm already saving up for my own place and I'm almost there, but for now, I'm gunna have to stick around." I chuckled.

"How much do you have saved?" he asked.

"About 3k. I'm aiming for 8k." I said with a sigh.

"Holy crap Alice."

"Ya. I've been saving since I was 9 and I haven't touched my savings. Not once." I replied.

"Damn. I can't go a day without spending at least $40." he said with a chuckle.

"Ya well when you're a person like me who doesn't like being around people, there's not really a point to spend any money."

"Oh. You make it sound so easy." he chuckled.

"It kind of is, but at the same time it isn't. I get tempted all the time, but I always tell myself to leave to shit alone. Sophie tried taking it too. I almost broke her arm the last time she tried taking it. I keep it locked in a briefcase under my bed at home." I said.

"Oh my gosh." Luke laughed.

A few minutes later, we pulled up into his driveway and was greeted by Liz at the door.

"Home so soon?" she asked with a smile.

"Yup. There's nothing to do." Luke replied.

We walked into the house and Luke's dog Molly came running to us.

"Hey girl. Watcha doing?" I said in an excited voice. She wagged her tail and jumped up and down attempting to do tricks at the same time. She was a cutie.

"Calm down Molly." Luke laughed.

We walked into the living room and the boys were in there.

"Hey Ash. Cal. Mikey." Luke said as we walked in.

"Hey Luke." they said in unison.

"Hey Alice." Calum said with a smirk.

"Alice?" They boy to the right of Calum said. I'm guessing he was Ashton.

"Oh ya. Ashton this is Alice. Alice, Ashton." Luke said with a smile.

"Hi." I said to Ashton trying to put on the best smile.

"Hi Alice." he replied with a smile.

Luke and I plopped down on the other couch. We snuggled up in one corner as we watched whatever the guys were watching. Calum kept giving Luke and I stares. After a while, he spoke up.

"Are you guys dating or something?" he asked.

"Yup." Luke said without taking his eyes off his phone while I did the same.

"Hmm." Calum replied before focusing back on the screen.

I decided to tweet something since I had nothing to do.

@Alice.Turner: Kiddy date with the best :)

I attached the picture we took in Build a Bear. Soon, mentions were everywhere on twitter. Luke then tweeted something.

@Luke5sos: Went on a date with the best girl in town :-)

He attached a picture of us when we were eating pancakes at the diner. I smiled at Luke before closing the app and focusing my eyes back on the TV.
