The Maiden Of Shadow Lane

Prologue

"I kissed a girl and I liked it.." He sang. Even though he was fully focused on the road, he didn't miss a beat as the song continued on. It took every ounce of self control not to dance. If he did, the whole car would fall off the rocky cliff into the roaring ocean below. The man swayed his head to the music, listening intently. The music was then replaced with static. The man looked at the radio confusedly. He reached down and changed the station. Still static. With a sigh, he switched it off. No service out here. This sucks. He thought to himself. Suddenly, the static came back. In between the static he could have sworn he heard a voice saying "Go no further,". He quickly hit the power button but to no avail. The static grew louder as the road became rockier. The man payed no attention to it and continued to hit the power button forcefully. He became scared and decided to ignore the static, after all, he had a job to do and was determined to finish it. The wheel then jerked to the left, almost causing him to crash against the rocky wall of the mountain. Terrified, the man gripped the wheel tightly and pulled the car back into the middle of the road. Again the wheel jerked forcefully, this time to the right. It sent the car flying over the edge of the cliff. As he fell, he looked behind him. The last thing the man saw was a little girl in a white dress, smiling.
