The peaceful woods was certainly her favourite place to go to. The birds, lakes, good memories and the view itself was satisfying. A way to escape the cruel world. When she was younger she lived in a shell: untouched by violence, untill of course the incident. Her father was a strong individual, the one who taught her how to fight with a sword. However he always repeated one rule: never hurt anyone with this sword, only protect the weak. She didnt think it made sense but later on it did, and so she followed the rule.

Being a women that travelled alone was difficult. Constantly someone would try to steal or take advantage of her, usually ended up with a punch to the face on their end. The young women would only stay at a village for around two weeks.

She came visiting one of her friends, Diana, who worked as a waitress. That itself was a dangerous job since after exiting the work space you have no one defending you. This made y/n uncomfortable leaving her friend like that last time, even through her friend was smart. Almost finishing her walk through the woods she started seeing the village. Hasnt changed too much in the past months, but there was a gathering and many cheers in the centre of the village.

Going closer, there was a man who stood out from everyone, literally. His height could be mistaken for a giant, but he did look like a human. Noticing that it was the warriors visiting, she pulled on her hood to cover more of her face. She was happy she came because her friends workplace would become chaotic and dangerous with the drunk customers who will most likely eat a year worth amount of food. As she was lost in thought the tall man looked at her direction, making eye contact. Even through he couldnt see her face, her eyes where beautiful. As she noticed the eye contact lasting way longer then it should she looked away and hurried towards her friends place. The large man found that rather suspicious but let it be since it wasnt his business.

Knocking on her friends door, Diana opens it and is greeted with her friend she hasnt seen for a few months. "Oh my lord! I haven seen you in so long! Comin' I missed you so much!" And so y/n was greeted with a bone crushing hug from her friend. "Has your father been doing well Dia?  And I'm sorry for not visiting so often my captain only let me go now!", "his been doing better, slowly, but his getting better! And what an a annoying boss  you have." As they emerged into the house they spoke for a couple of hours till it was time for Diana to go to work, of course y/n coming along.

It was loud, of course there are so many people. As her friend runs into a room to get changed into her uniform, y/n takes a corner of the bar (what where they called back then? Ahh I forgot!) The tall man turns out to be called Thorkell, shes heard of Thorkell the tall but was truly surprised by his height even through it's in his name.

Y/n was minding her business and looking after her friend untill she felt something cold run down her clothing, beer. Someone spilled beer on her and she heard laughter behind her. Turing her head around she was greeted with three men smiling at her, not with an apologetic smile. "Ah I'm so sorry, but it's your fault for sitting there, so how about you apologise for spilling some of my beer on me by", "what?"," you heard me and I dont want a simple sorry-", "runts settle down youre making the food taste bad! Leave that brat alone!" A loud voice echoed throughout the bar.

(I'm sorry guys that was a lot of conversation in a short period of time, so it might be confusing. But I hope you enjoyed lads!)
