I wanna be yours- Arctic Monkeys

-Packing up-

Y/N's Pov:

Kate went on about how she was getting a new teaching job for a young girl while I was watching the news about how my favorite singer just committed suicide until kate turnt it off

"Hey" I yelled at throwing my hands in the air "I don't know why you're just sitting there y/n you need to pack your bags too" Kate said to me

"Ughh, fine" I said while standing up and stomping my feet on the ground as if I were some soldier to my room

I started packing up my outfits kate said to pack more dresses since the 'Fairchilds' were like proper and rich

I didn't own that much dresses reason to why kate and I went out to get some dresses for me I stuffed them all in my suitcase and sitting on the top of it to flatten it down and close it

I then got a smaller bag and put in my hygiene and brush and all of the lady stuff

I then walked back into the living room and Kate looked up at me saying "You ready" I gave her slight smile and shook my head saying yes

I then gave our roommate Destiny (I don't know the girls actual name) a hug before we finally headed out

Kate and I stuffed our suitcases in the trunk the made our way to the front of the car me sitting in the passengers and kate in the driver's seat

I took out the mixtape I made for myself it mainly only had nirvana and some other songs I plugged in my ear buds and started playing it the first song was 'all apologies' by you guessed it Nirvana

I just rested my head on the window Kate had said we were going to visit our crackhead of a mom Jane (idk her name either) I lived my mom yeah but something in me also hated her

After some time of driving we finally made it to the hospital home our mom was staying at I got put and unplugged my headphones from my ears and placed it into my coat jacket

I looked up at the tall building then looked back in front of me and continued walking fowards slightly behind Kate

Once we reached were our mom was at which weirdly was in the middle if an emptied out pool she was scribbling circles on a piece of long white paper

Kate tried talking to her but her eyes focused on what she was doing until she looked at kate a smile slowly approaching her lips she then turnt and picked up a canvas I stood up to get a better look and seen it was a portrait of kate

I had a smile on my face thinking I was going to get one too but kate just placed a kiss on our mom's head and stood up motioning for me to stand up as well

Once we got into the car I simply put back in my headphones this time 'something in the way' by nirvana playing instead
