Tris' POV
I've lost track of time. All I know is that I'm hungry. I figured that I would find a place by now, but I haven't. As I walk through more woods I hear a rustle. I lift my gun up and point it to where I heard it.
"Hello? Is anybody there?," I say.
Nothing. I walk towards it a little more , but I end up tripping over a rock and that's the last thing I know before I black out.

I wake up to brown eyes above me.
"Oh good your awake," says a deep voice.
I try and sit up.
"Woah. Don't think that just because your awake you can get up and start running around. You need to rest a little longer you hit your head pretty bad," he says.
I lay back down and sigh.
"So what's your name? I'm Gavin," he says.
"Well Gavin my name is Tris," I say.
"Well hi Tris."
"So what exactly happened?," I ask.
"Well I was hunting in the woods and found you just lying on the ground with a pretty bad hit to your head. You must have fallen and hit it," he says.
I nod and remember that I tripped over a rock, but I wasn't telling him that. Gavin walks out of the room and walks back in with a tray full of food.
"You must be hungry. I noticed that you had no food in your bag," he says.
"You went through my bag?"
"Oh sorry I just wanted to make sure you weren't armed with anything bad. You did have a gun so I had to take that."
"Why did you have to take my gun?," I ask.
"Well I don't really know who you are and you could come at me with that gun. For all I know you could be some crazy person," he says.
I guess he's kind of right. I finish my food and Gavin takes the tray. He comes back and leans against the door frame.
"So you should just rest for a couple more days then you could probably get and roam around, but first I'll need to ask you a couple of questions and make sure your not going to rob me or anything," he says with a laugh.
I smile a little bit and he leaves the room. I turn over and just think about my life. I'm about 2 months pregnant with a fatherless baby and I am now in a house in the middle of no where. Nice life. I stare out the window at the sunset and close my eyes trying to think of when my life was good.
