Michael walked into the office with a dramatically sad expression on his face. Pam sat at reception and out of instinct asked what was wrong. This is not the first time Michael had started unwanted drama in the office. "Ooooooh my life! I am depressed!" Michael started groaning sadly. Dwight rose from his seat "depressed isn't that just another word for being bummed out?" Michael turned around to face him. "Dwight you ignorant slut!" That seemed to quite down the office, Michael walked quietly to his office, hands curled into fists.
The regional manager found himself sitting at his desk unproductive and with his head on the desk for hours. The office had no idea what was going on but him. The real reason he was so depressed was because of the temp. Thinking of Ryan sent him into a euphoric day dream. The truth is that Ryan was being transferred next month and he was soon going to become his boss.
*Knock* *knock* "can I come in?" A voice asked quietly behind the door that he instantly recognized to be Pam. "Come in" he answered, softer than his usually hyped tone. "Is this because Ryan is leaving?" Her tone seemed exasperated but yet concerned. "... Uhmmmm, yes... Yeah it's... Yeah it's about Ryan" his voice grew quieter and deeper after each pause. "You know he's just using you right? He's not actually your friend." Michael looked straight at her now. "Yes but you don't have all the facts." "Which are?" "I love him."
