Once upon a time there was a chief who had the most beautiful daughter in all of the world,
She was more beautiful than the sun that gave the villagers light, more beautiful than than the earth on which they grew their food and walked all the days of their lives, her beauty flowed endlessly like the river that gave the people life,She was simply amazing a true definition of African beauty.

When the chiefs daughter reached the right age to marry, The chief thought of of a way to get a suitable man to marry his daughter. He wanted a man who would not only love his daughter but who was also wise enough to take care of her, so he made a plan.

The king sent word out to all the men in the village who wanted to marry his daughter, He had made a proposal to say anyone who wishes to marry my daughter must bring a cow but the cow should not be a female nor a male but it should be a cow.

This puzzled everyone cause they new it was impossible to find a cow that could neither be male nor female and so many months passed and no one had claimed the chiefs daughters hand in marriage. Some desperate men had gone searching and come back with nothing, until one day a prince from the neighbouring chiefdom came visiting in the village and heard about the proposal that the king had made,he had heard about the beauty of the chiefs daughter and when he finally saw her he fell in love instantly, and made it his mission to marry her.

The prince new that there was a solution to what the king had proposed because obviously he wanted his daughter to get married and therefore he wouldn't ask for something that was impossible to solve and so he went in search of the cow, after few days of no luck he came up with an idea.

He went to went to the king and said," I have found the cow you asked for my king but I have left it behind the mountain, you must send your servants to fetch it but you can't send them in the morning, afternoon, evening or night time."

And so orders were given to the servants to go get it, but after morning, afternoon came and so they couldn't leave, then evening came and then night came. After a week of the same routine the king finally called the young prince and gave him his daughters hand in marriage for he was the wisest in all the land.

Hope you enjoyed my story 😊 it is one of the many that we're told to us, I'll be writing a few myths later today but for now feel free to comment and you can ask me what things you are curious about concerning Africa and I will answer you.
