Chapter 21

"Wait."

I call out to him.

He turns around with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Do you know that my father visited me?"

His eyes widen but then turn icy.

"No. Why would I?"

I roll my eyes.

"I don't know... maybe cuz you 'know everything about me'?"

He sighs and just continues walking away.

"He's leaving me. He's going to mom."

He doesn't stop.

He doesn't care.

I shrug and get something to eat.

Just as I sit down to eat Matthew comes towards me.

"Oh gosh Jiwoo you scared me! I woke up and didn't see you anywhere."

I smile. "I got hungry. Say Matthew did you notice anything strange while I was sleeping?"

"Huh? No why? I kinda fell asleep really quickly hehe..."

He scratches his head cutely.

"Well I had a dream... well no a dream of a memory. It happened at the room where I was kidnapped."

"What happened?"

"My father visited me, for the final time."

"Wait your father? He's alive?"

"Yeah... I found out like a week ago. Anyways he's going back to mom. She's dead."

His eyes widen and he immediately pulls me into a hug.

"Oh no Jiwoo. That must be a big blow to hear."

I sigh and try to keep the tears in.

"Y-yeah. I finally got to see him again and now he's leaving. He didn't even explain my powers. He said I'll find out in time but... I just don't know."

Stroking my back he slowly calms me down.

"It'll be fine Jiwoo. I'll stay by your side forever I promise. We can do and go wherever you want. Anything you want I'll do for you. Please don't stay sad."

I get out of his hug and stare at him.

"I'm stuck with Jimin remember?"

He smiles mischievously.

"Not anymore. He said we can leave."

I gape at him.

"WHAT?! And you're only telling me now? Let's go pack!!"

I quickly run to my room and get things ready to take.

I can't stop smiling.

This is the happiest I've felt in awhile.

Jimin's finally letting me go. I wonder what changed his mind?

Doesn't matter, I'm just so happy! I get to be with Matthew...

Just the thought of us together...

I'm so ready for a normal life.

I leave Jiwoo as she tells me that her dad is going to her mom.

What can I say?

I'm ashamed of myself.

Dawon opened my eyes.

As Jiwoo was sleeping I had a talk with Dawon.

When I saw the vision of who Jiwoo would end up with...

There's no denying it, it was Matthew.

That lead me to kill her mom thinking that they had lied to me.

But if I hadn't killed them would everything be different now?

Would I be married to Jiwoo?

It's all my fault.

I hurt her family too much.

I don't deserve her.
