We laughed as Mop's shirt became wet with the shaken coke, exploded from the glass bottle he'd been holding. Crystal rolled her eyes and tried to fan herself with one hand as the boat sped up.

"God, Moppy, we told you not to drink it like that," She scoffed, wiping beads of sweat from her forehead. Mop rubbed at the stained fabric of his t-shirt with a goofy grin.

"Hey y'all know I have a hard time with directions," He answered in his heavy southern accent. Crystal scoffed again, and next to me Raegan laughed. We all leaned back as I steered the boat into a shallower area of the swampy waters. The boat slowed until we were swaying gently in place. Raegan leaned over the side enough to look into the water without falling in. Mop and Crystal continued arguing as I gazed into the water with Rae.

"Hey, hey Apollo?" Rae tugged on the bottom of her shirt with a furrowed eyebrow. I shifted slightly and set down my coke. Crystal and Mop stopped bickering to look over at us.

"Is something wrong?" I asked, slightly uninterested. Rae stared at the water for a moment longer before we saw something bob up to the surface. It was a shoe.

Another thing bobbed up from the murky depths, something bigger. Much bigger.

Crystal screamed.

It was a body. A body in the water.
