When I got home I rushed into my bathroom turning on the hot water shivering from being soaked. I took off Lynn's nice jacket setting it down hoping in the nice shower. I got the dried up blood off and just enjoyed the hot water wishing it could wash away today. I should change the way I am. I can probably beat up Lilith. Shaking my head what am I saying she defiantly will beat me. About twenty minutes went by before I got out. I do feel a little better though. All I need is something to eat and I think I can enjoy the rest of my day.

Tossing the clothes in the washer, I heard a knock at the door. Why would one of my mom's friends want to visit knowing she's at work. Everyone else we know just walks in. Coming! Straightening the pillows on the sofa making sure it looks like we never sit in here. I opened the door with a friendly smile. "Hello Carrot top!" Frowning, how did you know where I lived? "You know Jess and her big mouth." If you came for your jacket it is in the washer. "Nah, you can keep it. I came because you left your notebook in my car. I wasn't sure if it was important or not. Laughing Lynn that's not mine. He gave me a confused look. "It has to be yours, you were the only one in my car." Well my friend...it's not. I don't have notebooks I use binders. He stood there, "You know you're right. This isn't yours, in fact it's mine. I just needed an excuse to come visit you.'' I was dumbfounded. Lynn wanted to actually come see me? "Are you going to let me in? It's raining and cold out." Of course come in. I opened the door a little wider letting him inside. I am not prepared for this meeting.

"Nice house." Thank you. Would you want something to drink? He plumped down on the couch smelling a candle. "Sure I'll have a coke." Nice choice. You know you didn't need an excuse to visit. Handing it to him sitting down. "Well I wasn't sure if your parents were home." His cheek was really red on the left side. So where is Lilith? You could invite her inside. I bit my tongue on the last word. "She is still at the school." Oh volley-ball practice? He laughed. "No we broke up." I'm sorry if I caused any fights between you guys. I..." Scar she caused you a bruised cheek and nose. She doesn't deserve an apology." He gently touch my cheek. "Why didn't you tell me?" He was actually in pain. I'm the new girl, I didn't want to cause problems between anyone. Lynn rolled his eyes. "Scarlett I don't care who it is, you tell me and I will solve the problem. No one, and I mean no one should ever hurt you. You might of made matters worse for me. "How so? Trust me she wouldn't try anything." Jess walked in with Chase behind her. "Scarlett you need to answer my calls!" Jess stood a few feet away blinking a lot. "Did I miss something?" Chase stopped directly beside her, "What is going on? Why are you in her house?" Lynn put his arm around my shoulders, "I mean we could ask you guys the same?" Jess laughed. I think Mister Parker has a crush on my best friend?

" You know I don't kiss and tell, Jessica." Lynn's voice dragged out her name. Jessica giggled. "Yeah you don't kiss and tell but if you do that with my friend you will tell me.'' He shrugged his shoulders, "You will have to wait and see." Okay Jessica, spill whatever you have to tell me. "Right, right, okay so first Lucas told me that he kind of likes you and I gave your number to him. Secondly, this cute guy from school asked about you so I gave him your number as well. His name was Landon. Lynn pulled me a little closer to him. You can't keep giving random guys my number! Lucas isn't a random guy. Her blue eyes got bigger and a smile tagged in. " So Lucas likes Scarlett?" Lynn asked again. "Yes, he thought she was really pretty and kind. Better step up your game Lynn, or before you know it someone else will be kissing and telling." He chuckled at the comment. "We will see about that. I get what I want, always have... and always will." He winked at her. "Okay stud, as I was saying... there is a small get together at Chase's and we want you to come out for the weekend. Just us and the group. I'll see about it, I have to study for.."I'll help you if you go. Looking at Lynn seeing his smile. Fine, I'll go.
