I snapped out of my admiration as I thought about his question, "oh, right I almost forgot," I said as I slapped my forehead, "hey Cade have you seen the car keys? I was supposed to go out with my friend."

Cade dug in his pockets and handed me the keys, "sorry A, I used the car earlier to get some paint."

"No it's okay and thank you so much Cade," I replied, "I should go now before my friend kills me."

Cade laughed, "Aiden?"

I felt my cheeks grew hotter at the sound of his name, "what? No I'm going with Emerald."

Cade nodded his head but the look on his face was saying something like, "right, Emerald," as if he didn't believe me.

"Whatever Cade, thanks again," I said as I got in the car and drove out of the garage.

I met Emerald at the mall's coffee shop. She didn't notice me coming in as she was very busy reading a bunch of papers.

"Sorry it took me long," I said as I took the chair just across hers.

My best friend didn't even look up, "it's fine."

"You're really busy," I commented. I've never seen her so focused before.

Emerald put down her notes and looked at me. Right there I noticed the dark lines beneath her eyes, she almost looked like she didn't had some sleep. "The play has been moved to next week Asia. I have to prove to the stupid drama club that I can do it, most especially when Ezra is there. I'll show him."

"You sound scary," I replied and Emerald shrugged as she got back to reading her script.

I shook my head, still fascinated at my best friend and overjoyed for my sister. I still can't believe that Sam's proposing, the best part is that he's willing to accept the baby and London's crazy personality.

"You seem really happy," Emerald finally spoke after what seemed like forty-eight years.

"Nothing," I replied with yet another smile, "I guess this is just a wonderful day."

"Oh my gosh, something happened," Emerald said, finally letting go of her cranky demeanor, "tell me is it about Aiden Walker? Are you guys back together?"

"What?" I reacted, "no sheesh, it's well I promised not to tell anyone."

Emerald pouted, "not even your best friend?"

I sighed, "I promised."

She finally did it. She gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"Fine, just promise you won't tell anyone or else Cade's gonna kill me," I said in surrendered. How can one even resist those bright green eyes?

"Yipee," she squealed.

"Sam's planning to propose to London," I blurted out as I squealed in excitement.

"No way."

"Yes way! I'm just so excited Ems. I've always wanted to witness love at its finest," I replied as I started to imagine a beautiful garden wedding with beautiful dresses and flowers and Aiden wearing-

I faked a cough thankful that Emerald can't see through my thoughts.

I plugged in my earphones as I accompanied Emerald looking through some make up. She was talking about choosing the right make up to capture that Ancient Greek feeling, which is the setting of their play. I tried to be really in to it but for some reason it just bored me.

"Hey Ems you don't mind if I listen to some music right?" I asked, just so she wouldn't be surprised when I don't answer to her questions or anything.
