The new Auradon prep students

Chapter 1 the new kid

One day Jayden moves to the United states of Auradon from New Zealand. Jayden is a little nervous about attending Auradon prep. It's the first day of school and Jayden was at his locker when Ben walked up to him. "Hi, I'm Ben." Ben said. "I'm Jayden, it's nice to meet you." Jayden said. "It's nice to meet you too. If you need anything just let me know." Ben said. "Okay." Jayden said. After school Jayden was at his locker when Ben came up to him. After Jayden closed his locker he started to talk to Ben. "Hey." Ben said. "Hey." Jayden said. "How was your first day?" Ben asked. "Super." Jayden said. Then Mal walked up to them. "Hey Ben." Mal said. "Hey Mal, I want you to meet someone. This is Jayden. He's new here." Ben said. "Hi, I'm Mal." Mal said. "It's nice to meet you Mal." Jayden said. The next day Jayden was hanging out with Ben in his dorm room. (Ben and Jayden are roommates.) "So, I was thinking about going to the enchanted lake with Mal tomorrow. Do you want to come with us?" Ben asked. "Sure." Jayden said. Later that day Ben had a tourney game. After the game Ben sang did I mention.

The next day Jayden goes to the enchanted lake with Mal and Ben. While Ben and Jayden went swimming Mal was watching them. Then she sang if only.

Then she looked back out to the enchanted lake but she didn't see Jayden or Ben. She goes into the lake and started to drown when Ben saved her. "You guys scared me." Mal said. "Wait, are you saying that you can't swim?" Jayden asked. "Yeah." Mal said. "She lived on an island with a magical barrier around it." Ben said. "And you tried to save us?" Jayden asked while facing Mal. "Yeah, and do you thank me? No! All I get is soaking wet!" Mal said. Then they sit by the lake with Mal. Ben puts his coat around Mal. The next day in class Ben told Jayden about family day. "Well, my family can't come due to distance." Jayden said. "Maybe we can arrange something for you." Ben said. Later that day Jayden was hanging out in his dorm room while video chatting with Lauren. "Hey Jayden, what's going on?" Lauren said. "Not much, but I miss you and Emily." Jayden said. "I know, we miss you too." Lauren said. "This weekend is family day and I know that you guys can't come due to distance." Jayden said. "Yeah, I wish we could come but, unfortunately, due to distance, we can't come." Lauren said. "My friend Ben told me that he could work out something for us. That way I can talk to all of you guys from Auradon prep." Jayden said. The next day Jayden was doing his homework when Ben walked in. "Hey, what's up?" Ben asked. "Not much, just working on some homework." Jayden said. "Homework is a pain in the butt, don't you think so?" Ben said. "Yeah, but we have to do it." Jayden said. Later that day Mal was talking to her best friend Evie. "So Evie, you know that new kid?" Mal asked. "Yeah, what about him?" Evie asked. "Well, I overheard him talking to Ben about family day. Remember our first family day at Auradon?" Mal asked. "Yeah, why?" Evie asked. "Because, I heard him say that his family can't come here due to distance. With us our parents couldn't come to family day because they were not exactly welcomed into Auradon." Mal said. "Well, that was the real reason why they couldn't come." Evie said. "I know, but I think that fairy godmother was right. If I could learn to love so can my mom." Mal said. Meanwhile in Carlos's and Jay's room they were talking about the new kid. "Hey Jay, you know that new kid in class, right?" Carlos asked. "Yeah, me and him actually talked a little outside of class." Jay said. "Really?" Carlos asked. "Yeah, he told me that he has a nickname." Jay said. "What's his nickname?" Carlos asked. "This might sound kinda weird but his nickname is Jay." Jay said. "Okay, that is just a little weird. I guess Jay is short for Jayden." Carlos said. "That's what he told me." Jay said. "Won't he get confused about who you want to talk to if you are talking to Jay?" Dude said. "Maybe, it might be like when I say Jay I would have to say which one I want to talk to." Carlos said. "Maybe we can come up with some way to make sure that doesn't happen. I will have to talk to Jayden about it." Jay said. The next day Jayden was talking to Jay. Later that day as Jayden was walking to class he bumped into Mal. "Oh, sorry Jayden, I guess I should have watched where I was going." Mal said. "It's fine. Where are you headed?" Jayden asked. "My next class, why?" Mal asked. "Just wondering." Jayden said. Then he walked away. The next day as Jayden was hanging out with Carlos he was talking about what he talked about with Jay. "I think the only way I won't get confused is if you guys just call me by my real name when you guys are hanging around Jay and you can call me by my nickname when you guys are not hanging out with Jay." Jayden said. "Okay, I guess we could do that. But his idea was a little bit different." Carlos said. "What was his idea?" Jayden asked. "His idea was to make up a different nickname for you but to use your actual nickname when he is not around." Carlos said. "Sounds like a good idea. We can try that." Jayden said. "Okay, hey I heard that there are going to be tryouts for the tourney team. Are you going to tryout for it?" Carlos asked. "Yeah, I was thinking about it, why?" Jayden asked. "I think it would be cool to have you as a teammate." Carlos said. "Okay, I guess I'll tryout for it." Jayden said. Then he went back to his dorm room.
