Chapter 1

"Final examination in process. Participants: Snazzel, Kiwi, Ghosty and

Jonfeen," a robotic voice stated. snazz had a nervous feeling since this was the final exam yet Kiwi still didn't show up. "Where's Kiwi?" Ghosty mumbled under his breath. "I don't know, they were supposed to be here by now!" Jonfeen agreed with snazz and continued with the words, "Well we have no choice than doing this without them," the three entered the simulation room and found themselves standing at the bottom of a volcano while 30 robots charged towards them. One of them shoots fire at the group of three, snazz is barely able to save himself from the flames and avoid getting burnt; the other two dived at either of his sides. Ghosty fires a ball of water at the robot; snazz yelled, "Watch out the other ones are coming!" Jonfeen says with confidence in his voice, "I got it," snazz tries to concentrate on protecting himself, but Jonfeen screams. "What happened?" Snazzel asks with panic in his voice while shooting one of the robots with his water gun. "This Lava— is real!" Jonfeen yelps in pain, "but I'm fine, I only hurt myself slightly". Of course, snazz thought to himself, this isn't is a simulation, this is our final exam after all. "We could've guessed they wouldn't just do a simulation for our qualifying exam," after not too long he came up with a plan: "We should be more careful then. I got what we will do, listen carefully: Ghosty use your water blasts to keep us safe while—Jonfeen you and I will take them out by flanking them. I'll go behind" the two gave him a little nod. Snazzel waits for a moment and the right situation comes, and with the words: "Let's go!" he starts running and eventually gets behind one of the robots. Ghosty shields Snazz from the robot's attacks, he even takes out two of them while doing so. Jonfeen supports them two by distracting the other robots, but states "I'm not gonna have enough mana for the second wave is this keeps up". "Watery gonna do if that if that happens" "Snazz this is not the time for water puns, I'm serious here" Jonfeen tells replies; just before Snazz tells him that he's in position and shoots 5 of the robots, Jonfeen continues to take out 8 more bots while the other two beat the rest. "finally," Jonfeen said with relief "get ready for a second wave" Snazz said in response. Agreeing with snazz Ghosty added "no way that was it". Only a moment later the ground started to shake violently Snazz stood firm while Jonfeen put his hand on his shoulder and Ghosty leant on a nearby rock. Emerging from the ground came a robot which had a figure of a body builder and stood 9 feet high; the trio stood where they were, frozen as the robot generated a massive boulder in the palm of it's hand and threw it at them. "sh*t" Snazz yelled as all three of them jumped to the floor to avoid the attack, "it's an earth type," Ghosty told them Jonfeen asked, what they were all wondering, "where is Kiwi!"; "aww did you's miss me that much" a voice said in response. Upon hearing this voice Snazzel's face lit up, and Kiwi jumped in front of the three and faced the robot. "where would you three be without me, you always rely on me to take care of the earth types since you all use water," kiwi joked "now that kiwi is here we can carry out a plan I've made" Snazz said gesturing they come closer. "no need for a plan since I'm here" Kiwi quipped and then ran towards the robot, dodging all the of its attacks. "kiwi wait!" Snazz yelled, Kiwi just looked back at him and grinned. Kiwi then proceeded to attack the robot with their wind powers denting and ripping its metal. Snazz looked furious, noticing this Ghosty said "it's okay at least we can recover our mana". About two minutes later Kiwi had destroyed the robot. "it's finally over" Jonfeen sighed, "see? No need for your silly plans," Kiwi bantered, in response Snazz smirked and shook his head. "Final examination over" the robot voice said. The group were relieved, Ghosty and Jonfeen sat on the boulder the robot threw before, while Kiwi and Snazz stayed standing. The doors then opened and Valion, a blue fox-like person wearing casual clothing, entered the room.

"Sir!" everyone stood in a line. "nice work out there team, Snazzel that was a quick, effective and easy to execute plan though leaving Jonfeen to defend himself was risky— although you didn't really have a choice" Valion then turned to Kiwi "Where were you?" he paused for an answer which Kiwi responded to "well this man needed some help with his coffee shop and I couldn't refuse," Valion looked at them " haha well as long as you weren't slacking off; well from what I've seen here and from your written exam all of you have passed you are all now officially part of Stratos, and also due to his excellent communication skills and plan making Snazzel will be the captain of this team". Snazz looked at the team and then at Valion "thank you sir, I promise I wont fail!". After everyone congratulated Snazz they all went home.
