Going off of: book

Third person POV:
Michael clumsily snuck in through the portal door around midnight, trying as desperately as possible to not wake Howl or Sophie. Especially Sophie. He had just gotten back from Martha's house after quite a heated night, and just wanted to go to bed without being questioned or murdered for it. But of course, that's never how things played out in their house.
The lights flickered on.
"Do you have any idea Michael-" Sophie started off, and he quickly interrupted her.
"I can explain-" And that's when he noticed the glaring expression on her face as she seemed to be staring right under Michael's eyes. As he looked down to observe he quickly remembered and put a hand to his neck.
"A hickey?? Michael, really?? I suppose you got her pregnant too while you were at it?!" Sophie sounded furious, and on one hand Michael could see she was just trying to protect her younger sister. But they hadn't done anything that night. Nothing too permanent at least.
"I swear nothing happened Sophie, please don't kill me." Michael jokingly hurled over on his side and lifted both his arms as if protecting himself from a smack, and as Sophie stood up his motion started to become less joking.
"Really Sophie, I'm like a son to you, you wouldn't want to see me gone now would ya?"
Sophie kept her slow pace towards him and just when he thought he was gonna get it, she walked right past him and to the bottom of the stairs.
"Never again Michael. Not this late. Or I'll make sure you either can't get in through the portal or cant see my precious sister anymore." He let out a sigh of relief.
"Yes, of course."
As Sophie walked up the stairs and Michael assumed out of hearing, he mumbled a quick something.
"It'll be nearly impossible to keep me away from someone as-"
"- or maybe I'll just kill ya myself!" He heard Sophie shout, then decided it would be best if he just shut up and go to bed.
