I awoke to sudden sharp pain in my back. It felt as if there was a knife stuck in my rib cage. I groaned as I sat up, using the cold, wooden object beside me as support so I wouldn't fall.
"Where am I? Lu.? I swear if this is some sort of prank it isn't funny!" I exclaimed, quite agitated at the fact she decided to prank me on a school night.
"We have classes in the morning and I need to sleep!" I waited a minute for a response but all I got was the sound of a clock ticking.
"Lu..? Are you there?" I asked, but once again I was only met with the sound of a ticking clock.
I tried to look around the room to find out where I was, but it was too dark to see anything, even with a ray of the moon's light, shining through a hole in the roof.
After what felt like an absolute ETERNITY someone entered the room.
"Hey! Get me out of here!" I shouted at the figure. "Now why would we do that?" A male's voice questioned. We? What does he mean by 'We'? I looked around the room once again, squinting so I would be able to see in the dark a bit. I noticed another figure in the corner of the room, leaning on the wall. Oh, that's what he meant.
"Let me go right now! My dad's a police officer and I know karate! I swear to god! I'll get out of here!" "Oh my god, will she QUIT BABBLING?! I'm gonna kill her early if she doesn't shut up!" The male's voice complained. A female's voice quickly replied. I'm guessing that's the other person. "Be patient, teach'. we need to wait for my dad to get here first."
I was quickly growing impatient and slightly annoyed with the sound of the ticking clock. "Sorry, I'm late." A deeper, raspy male voice stated as they entered the room. "Finally! I'm starving!" The first male yelled.
"You know the rules, you get the first serving tomorrow. Sweetie, go get your share of dinner." The deeper voiced male said. Dinner? Do they mean me? ARE THEY GOING TO EAT ME?! The figure in the corner stood up and walked over to me, I could hear her shoes scraping against the floor as she dragged them. "Sorry Maggie.." The girl's voice said as she forced a cold, thick liquid down my throat. And then it was dark.
