"You're the habit that I can't break, you're the feeling that I can't put down, you're the shiver that I can't shake..."

"FINN WOLFHARD and Malcolm Craig — also known as The Aubreys — is here with us today to share new music and have a little chat."

"Thanks for having us." Finn said and smiled softly at the interviewer. "It's great to be here."

"Yeah." Malcolm agreed. "We're always so grateful to be invited to share our new music with everyone."

"Many fans have been wanting to know more about your first upcoming album as The Aubreys, now that you are no longer Calpurnia." The interviewer shared, raising one of her eyebrows.

"Ah, yeah... uh. Malcolm and I... we- well, we've been working a lot of new songs recently for the upcoming album." Finn replied. "There's a specific song on the album that is very dear to my heart, it's very personal."

"I'd say that song took about a month for Finn to perfect before showing me the lyrics along with the melody he had come up with." Malcolm added. "It's a beautiful song."

"Would it be too much to ask for the name of this song?" The interviewer questioned.

"Uh, no. I don't mind." Finn answered. "The song is called Habit." He fiddled with his fingers and poking one of his cheeks. "It's a personal song, like I said, and it means a lot to me that others will get to hear it."

He adjusted the headset on his head. "They will get to interpret what they think the song means or what it could mean to them personally."

"Fans have been wondering about what's been going on with you and Y/N L/N, whether you two have called it quits or worked it out." The interview commented.

"Yeah, uh... Y/N and I have broken up." Finn clarified, brushing a few ebony curls away from his honey-brown eyes. "It happened just a little over a month ago."

"I'm sorry to hear that, as well as fans are." The interview gave the teen star a sympathetic smile. "Uh, anyway." She said, changing the topic. "I'm sure people would love to hear you perform a song."

"Finn and I actually discussed about performing Habit today for everyone." Malcolm chimed in.

"Perfect. I'm sure everyone will love it." The interviewer replied. "I'll let you both set up real quick before you perform." She took a few steps back from the performance space in the studio.

It only took Finn and Malcolm five minutes to get set up before the melody began to play.

"I always said that I'd mess up eventually
I told you that, so what did you expect from me?
It shouldn't come as no surprise anymore
I know you said that you'd give me another chance
But you and I knew the truth of it in advance
That mentally you were already out the door" Finn had begun to sing.

"Never thought that giving up would be so hard
God, I'm missing you and your addictive heart,

"You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break,

"I took some time 'cause I ran out of energy
Of playing someone I heard I'm supposed to be
But honestly, I don't have to choose anymore
And it's been ages, different stages
Come so far from Stanley Park,

||Author's note: In the original lyrics it's actually "Princess park" and not "Stanley Park." I changed it to go with a park from Vancouver.||

"I'll always need you
In front of me, in front of me,

"You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break,

"You give me the time and the space
I was out of control
And I'm sorry I let you down
Guess that I know what I already knew
I was better with you
And I miss you now,

"You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break,

"You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break."

He finished singing, the melody trailing off before coming to end.

"Wow. That was a beautiful song." The interviewer praised. "Amazing."

"Thanks." Finn said and slightly smiled at the interviewer before glancing at Malcolm.

Malcolm gave the other a reassuring smile.
