Kiara's POV
JJ, John B, Pope and I were all sitting in the marsh on the HMS Pogue. The boys were fishing while I practiced playing my ukelele.
-"Kie your scaring all the fish away"- JJ said jokingly
-"Very funny"- I say as I pluck the strings softly.
JJ and I joked around a lot and he'd jokingly flirt but it never really meant anything
I stand up and look around the marsh the sun was setting and it was beautiful
-"I don't know about you guys but I'm bored"- Pope said sitting back in the drivers seat
-"Then let's head back. Nothings biting anyway"- John B said as he pulled his dads old fishing rod out of the water.
JJ's POV
I stood at the edge of the boat looking into the water
-"we really got skunked today"- I said as I jumped down from the edge of the boat.
-"No kidding"- John B said as he started the boat up and drove back to his house.
When the boat stopped we all hopped off and Pope helped Kie off. He has always had feelings for her but she is completely clueless.
We all headed inside and hung out for a bit but Pope had to leave and JB fell asleep. I looked at Kie
-"Are you going home soon too?"- I asked
-"Yeah probably...why do you ask?"- She said looking at me
-"Just wondering"- I said -"Want me to walk you home?"-
-"Sure"- she smiled at me. her smile was so calming but I can't be thinking those things...there's no pogue on pogue macking.
Kie's POV
JJ and I were heading back to my house in awkward silence until he breaks it
-"So...you and Pope?"-
-"What the hell are you talking about?"- I look at him confused
-"You know he's like in love with you..right?"-
I snorted
-"Pope and I are just friends JJ and thats IT"-
He nodded and had a satisfied smile on his face but tried to hide it.
When we got to my front door I turned to him
-"JJ I know things are tough at your house so you can stay in the guest room whenever you'd like"-
-"Thanks Kie...is it okay if I stay tonight?"-
I smiled and walked inside
-"We have to be quiet my dad can't know you're
here"-
He nodded and followed up the stairs the the guest room
-"Holy-"- he said looking around the room
-"My room is right across the hall if you need anything"- I said quietly -"also keep the door locked just incase"- I said before I walked across the hall to my room and got in bed
