Cosmo's Story

The disaster

I was little when this happened, so I'm going to try to tell you all I remember....

I was about 6 mounts old. I was my only sibling with my mom and dad. I was old enough to talk and understand things.

It was a beautiful day outside, my mom and dad and  I was having a picnic together in the soft pink grass. I was eating a centipede sandwich when the city alarms sounded. They sounded once a month for test runs, but they tested the alarms a week ago. 

"What's going on mommy?" I asked.

"I don't know Cosmo, we should leave." Mom said worried.

Then, a blimp floating through the sky announced...

"All cats, head to the evacuation shelter! I repeat, all cats head to the evacuation shelter!" The blimp announced.

We were all scared, we got to the shelter, but what they said next was what changed my life forever...

"I gathered you hear today because an astroid is coming start towards the planet. It will blow up everything here." One person said.

Many cats gasped in fear and shock. They were pushing cats out of the way to hear what else he had to say.

"There are pods you can get in that will bring you to another planet. You will be safe there. But sadly, there are only 10 pods." The cat said.

Cats then pushed cats to get in a pod, we managed to get one, but it was the last one. The place was cramped, and there was only room for one. I was happy mom and dad was coming with me, but they shut the door with just me inside. I was confused, "Why is momma or daddy not coming?"

Then, the pods shot up into space, and I was alone. I watched in horror as the astroid tore through the planet and destroyed everything. And it was just me, alone, in the middle of nowhere...
