Prologue:
They came from nowhere. They appeared in the skies one day, great ships looming above the cities. They refused any contact. Then, without warning, they attacked. Cities were demolished, falling into ruin. Billions of people were killed within hours of the first attack.
There are only a few thousand left now, those of us lucky enough to get into a chamber vault in time. My name is Lisa Glyder. I am a fairy warrior. This is the story of my life, and that of my daughter, Emerald.
