Changing destiny

Avondale

It was a lovely summer evening on the village of Avondale the flow family was out on the dock enjoying the sun with their beautiful daughter Precious and there youngest son Luke.
"Precious could you please help your father pack up the things and you to Luke" said Precious's mother "Sure thing mom! Come on Luke" said Precious. As they were helping their father the sun set beautifully on the dock "do you ever just wonder what's beyond this small village?" said Precious walking closer to the end of the dock "Precious get back here now! I don't want you ruining your dress again" said Precious's mother angry. After packing everything they set off home. "Precious why won't you ever shut up about going beyond the village" said Luke annoyed "well because I wanna see the world I wanna meet new people, try new things, and discover more land!" Said Precious smiling "well you have to see if your husband wants to travel or not but I prefer you stay here" said Precious's mom "my husband? What ever do you mean mother?" "Well your almost 17 aren't you only four more days and then will find you the best husband!" Said Precious's mother smiling. Precious looked down and sighed.

Once they arrived home it was already late at night. "Alright you two go wash and go to bed" "okay" mother said Precious and Luke. After washing up Precious went to her room crying luckily no one heard her "why oh why must I marry a man why can't I travel the world! And find love myself" Precious wondered. After sobbing a little more and questioning her life she took off her slippers and went to bed before she slept she said a prayer "oh lord I am not sure if you could hear me but I'm am 17 in four days and I want to travel the world not get married please send me some help Thank you lord" she shut her eyes and went to sleep.

"Tweet tweet tweet" chirped the birds out side of Precious's window she lifted her eye lids open and was ready to start the day she got dressed and went down stairs. "Good morning Precious" said Precious's dad with a smile on his face "good morning father" Precious said grabbing a slice of bread and going outside "where are you going my my sweet Child" questioned Precious's father "out to go do some chores and meet Melody" "oh alright then be safe" smiled her dad and off she went. First she went back to feed the ducks,cows,and horses. After she went to her horse. Alan he was a bay colour with lots of energy and the sweetest personality ever "how's my handsome man today" said Precious feeding Alan a carrot he neighed in a response. Once he was finished she sat on his back and they went to go see Melody . After galloping thru fields and chasing butterflies they finally made it to Melody. "Took you long enough what we're you two doing?" said Melody "oh um we were chasing butterflies" said Precious embarrassed "oh Precious your so beautiful but so weird" said Melody rolling her eyes it was indeed true Precious was the prettiest girl in the village all the men liked her but she was never interested instead she would rather swing from trees and explore Avondale every one thought she was a funny girl.
