The simple "emot" typed on the screen
Why does this control?
Persuading me to feel
Anxious, wondering the response
A small joke, a lingering laugh
Another language entirely
Speaking to the cloud above
Looks reassuring
A feeling securing
Almost alluring
This human contact; curing
Distant safety
Same world but different place
Another empty face
continuing to stay
with something so far away
Could be held within a definition
Confined, almost justified
Attempting to explain through words
.......A mirage
A dream, provoking reality we all crave
A distant figure who adores the idea of you
A cute face
Persuadable
Relatable
but debatable
No.
Not tangible
Digitally progressive
Idealistically creative
Forget the human touch
Connecting within a wire
sending a message that has its own leverage
In this world created above
Decoding the feeling of true love
Soon the clouds will start to rain
And our fantasies will wash away
