Backstory: When Ryu was born, he was different from what his parents looked like. Instead of getting their dark hair and golden eyes, he was born with white hair that was like snow and piercing ruby red eyes that shined bright in the sun. They wondered how he had obtained these features. It was very rare during that age and everyone looked at Ryu differently. He was bullied for his looks and people would shun his family. Since his family didn't want him getting hurt at all, they sent Ryu off to the royal family to become a servant. They knew that he would be safer in the fire nation capital rather than their home village. It was tough saying goodbye but he knew that they were doing this out of love. Once he got to where he needed to be, he was assigned to assist prince Zuko in anything that he needed. The prince was very nice to him during their time together, always making sure that he was ok. He was there for him in everything, even when he gotten his scar from his father and was banished. He always stayed loyal to him and would help him in anything that needed to be done.
Personality: Ryu is a very caring guy who puts others before him. He is very friendly to those who he is acquainted with and always shows his respect to those who are higher up than him. He is the chill type who minds his own business when needed. He isn't one to meddle into anyone else's personal business. He tries to be as calm as he can in certain situations but tends to freak out when something bad is about to happen. He does tend to get in a bit of a mood when he is either annoyed by someone or when it's just an off day for him. He tries not to snap at anyone if he is in a bad mood. He usually keeps his emotions to himself since he doesn't want to bother anyone with them. He is a little reserved about that, just wanting to go about the day like it was ok when it's not.
Likes: reading, writing, drinking tea, practicing his fire bending, serving prince Zuko in any way that he can, traveling, meeting new people along the way, the avatar and his friends
Dislikes: Azula, Fire Lord Ozai, prince Zuko getting hurt, having to leave his family, bullies, sometimes doesn't like Mai because of how close she is to Zuko, being alone, his pent up emotions that he keeps hidden, his bad mood when he is in one
