Tasia's and Bliss' Plans

I slid down the roof and peered over the hole in the ceiling. Bliss was standing underneath me, looking up. Being careful of my injured leg, I jumped through the hole and approached her. The first thing that I saw was a dark bruise around her eye. "What happened?" I brushed it with my thumb, causing her to wince.

"It's nothing. Sit down so I can bandage you." She took my hand and sat us both down. She began unpacking her bag. Then it dawned on me. He hit her.

"Was it Noah or George?" I asked, making her look up from the supplies. She looked beautiful, but I could still see the pain in her eyes. Stop thinking about it, Erich! Don't get attached!

"Hey, shut up. You're in worse condition than me." She began unwrapping my leg, trying to mask her pain with concentration. Why are you being so heartless? "And you're all sweaty!" She snapped her hand away from my leg. Oh...oops. The sweat from my nightmare hadn't dried apparently, that and I was still wet from the morning's drizzle.

"It's just rain." I said, taking the bandages out of her hands. I unwrapped the last layer of my leg and peered at the wound. It was still inflamed, but some of the swelling had gone down. The stitches had gotten loose now that my leg was healing itself. There was some dried blood here and there, but a part of the cut had begun to bleed again. Great, nice one. I grimaced as Bliss pulled out a bottle containing clear liquid. "What's that?" I asked, watching her unscrew the cap. "Bliss?" Suddenly, she poured the contents on my leg.

A blinding pain shot up my spine as I scooted away from her, gasping with anger. Stop, stop, stop! It hurts! How could she do that to me? I screamed for about a minute before the pain subsided.

"I was afraid you'd try to stop me, if you knew that it hurt." She said, trying to decipher whether or not I was about to run away. Her face had that sympathy look again. Stop!

"You could've at least warned me!" I shouted, my voice echoing the greenhouse. Fear replaced her sympathy look. Her widened eyes made me succumb to their gaze.

"Sorry." She muttered, holding her hand out. For a moment, I thought that she was trying to be kind to me, and holding her hand out in comfort, but I realized that she was handing me more gauze. Well, it was a nice idea, I thought, taking the bandages from her.

"Yeah, you should be." I careful touched my wound, careful of any part that still stung. Bliss tried to dab at the blood with a towel, but I back away.

"Easy, come on." She said, rolling her eyes. I wanted to hiss at her and scamper away. Why do you make this so much more painful? I wanted to ask. "We still have to do your back." She reminded me, taking out another container of that vile liquid. I relaxed and let her dab at my leg with the towel.

"You still didn't answer my question." I said, studying her every movement. She was being careful with where she dabbed, and every part of her was trying to be gentle. She pities me. This is not how I wanted the visit to go.

"What?" She asked, taking out a pair of scissors from her bag.

"Who hit you?" I asked, taking the scissors from her hands. What're are these for? She rolled her eyes, annoyed by how much I cared. Don't make it hard. Just tell me.

"It's not somebody you'd know." She said, taking the scissors back. "I've got to take your stitches out. They're not helping anymore." She began digging around in her bag, looking for something else to torture me with.
