Timeline: After the Civil War.

Background: Bucky has come out from being cryo freeze, and it been a few years of him being rehabilitated from the brainwashing. He now works for SHIELD, however, is having some difficulties adjusting to the line of work. And, since he is being rehabilitated, he has developed panic attacks and forms of PTSD.

Summary: Steve is unfortunately captured while on a recent mission. Bucky is the only one who can save him.

"Let's start this briefing, shall we?"

Nick Fury stood at the head of the oval, glass table. It almost the length of the room, yet left enough space to move around and be seated at least. It housed twenty-five chairs, but only two were occupied. Steve Rodgers, also known as the Captain himself, sat in one to Nick's left. To his right, sat Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier. The two were personally invited to this briefing, but without a reason why. They took it as it is a secret mission. But knowing Fury, it could be more.

"This is an assignment I'm assigning you both personally because I believe you can do it. Otherwise, I would have invited the others instead of just you two."

Steve furrowed his brow. He exchanged a look with Bucky, both knowing something was not right about the situation. If it was globally and a dire situation, he would have invited all of the Avengers, not just him and Buck. Steve looked away and faced towards Nick. Bucky shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"What's this about Fury? Bucky Isn't part of the Avengers. He shouldn't even be here. So why?"

Nick sniffed.

"Must you really interrupt, as always, Rodgers?"

Steve shrugged.

"When it involves Buck, yes. What's happening."

Nick Fury let out an annoyed sigh. His head bobbed to the side for a moment, and a loud crack ensued. Then he looked straight back at Steve. The hollowness in his eye struck the blonde to the core.

"Hydra's back. That's why. Now, may I finish?"

Both men in front of him equally paled. Bucky was the most physically reactive. His eyes snapped onto Fury and went wide with a mix of fear and repulsion. His body went rigid, and his fist clenched on top of the table. Steve was somewhat unresponsive, but his eyes widened as well.

Bucky spoke up next.

"Back? W..What do you mean back? Are they trying to take over S.H.E.I.L.D again? Make more," Bucky shuddered and looked away. ", soldiers?"

"Don't get all upset, Barnes. I know this is a sensitive subject for you. But its under control. You were dragged into this though because you two are the most experienced with them. Plus, Romanoff is already ahead of you, as to why she's not here. As far as we know from the information she's retrieved, yes, they are trying to make another solider. We predict it is most likely to combat you since you are on our team now. There's only one they are working on though."

"S.H.E.I.L.D has more defensives then we ever have before. With Tony's help, we have upped security so another invasion like the previous does not happen again. We're safe right now, but I cannot say we are for the future. If they get any bigger in operations, then we might be at a disadvantage. Especially if they get another successful solider. If they find out how they did it in the past, then they might move onto an army as their next project. That is why I called you both here. We're going to take them down in a raid. Their base is small enough for you both, and possibly Romanoff to take care of it. We have a map of it that when being in the place already being packed and ready for you both."
