An Unexpected Message

Daniel and Ray arrived home. James was doing something on his laptop and saw his son and Daniel. He got up and walked towards them "hello guys what's up?" He hugged Ray and gave Daniel his hand. "Hi Dad." Ray said and headed up the stairs to his room. "Are you hungry son?" "No Im not" "Is everything okay at school?" Rey just looked and continued upstairs to the room and said nothing. James turned to Daniel. "Are you in for a beer?" "Sure,we can relax a little" they started in the living room Daniel sat down at the table and James went to the fridge and took 2 beers and went back. They opened the bottles and made a toast and started drinking. "What do we have?" James asked. Daniel took an envelope from his jacket pocket and put it in front of James "We have a new case to work on, from General Max (German Shepherd 36y.)" James opened the envelope and took out all the information. He saw a picture of a Weasel (25 years old) and started reading. "What?! Nothing more?" And he looked at Daniel "unfortunately we don't have much information about him just what is written on paper." Hmm and what he did here doesn't say anything? " " The general refused to write and told me personally that it was a book with very important military information it was stolen. And General asked the two of us to work on that case and catch that Weasel, he only trusts us" "Are you kidding me? How can the two of us chase that weasel when we don't have much information about him. This town is not small. It will take us 3 months or more to explore the whole town and catch it." Daniel put his hand on James's shoulder "relax James we had even harder cases and we solved them. Don't forget we're the best. James took a bottle and went to drink. Ray was in the room sitting on the floor and started to take the notebooks out of his bag, he came across a draft from his machine. He took it and stared at it for a while. He got annoyed and threw it in the basket. He turned and headed in his bed. On the way to his bed, he grabbed a book from the table, sat on the bed and started reading. After a while, a message arrived on his phone. Ray rolled his eyes. *Who is now writing to me * he spoke to himself. He looked at the phone and saw a message from Chester. He threw the book on the bed and jumped. He picked up the phone and opened the message. * Hi Ray. Sorry I didn't answer I was a little busy. It's all right you don't have to worry about me. See you tomorrow at school * Ray was a little happy to see this and replied * agreed *. He left the phone and stretched out in bed and closed his eyes. After a while, he heard a knock on his door in the room and got up. "Can I come in?" James heard from behind the door. "Yeah" muttered Ray still asleep. James came in and held it in his hand an Wristwatch. "I managed to get this watch for your machine, like you asked for, son." "Thank you, Dad, but I won't need it anymore," Ray said sadly. James was astonished at and sat down next to Ray on the bed. "What do you mean you don't need it anymore?" "Do you remember those 3 fools I told you about earlier that Chester had problems" James just looked at him. "Well they came today while I was working on the machine and took the display the most important part. Now I can't work on it anymore" Rey started to cry. James hugged him " "Don't cry I'll get you another one " " But it's hard to find displays like that " "Don't worry son I know some people who can get it "james smiled. "Thank you Dad" "Now wipe away the tears and let's go to dinner" James got up and put that watch on the small table next to the bed, and left the room. Ray stared at watch, stood up, and came down. Daniel was still there. "Are you still here?" Ray asked. "Yes, I'm staying to sleep here again. Your father and I have a lot of work to do." "Can I help?" Rey asked, looking at his father first and then at Daniel. "No, not everything is fine, me and your father will make it" "well if you say so" everyone started eating. After the meal, James cleared the table and Daniel helped Ray with his homework. After a while, everyone sat together, watched movies and talked. It was already late around 9:45 PM Ray got up from the couch. "I'm leaving, it's already late and I'm tired, good night." "Good night, son, I love you," said James, waving his hand. "Good night, little boy," said Daniel from a mouth full of chips. He looked in the basket and took the blueprint from the machine and put it in his bag, after which he went to bed and set the phone to ring at 7:00 and went to sleep.
