Your POV:

I sat on the first row with some of my siblings, singing along as another few of them stood in front of the campfire leading the sing-along and playing various instruments.

Normally I'd be standing there too, but I just really wasn't in the mood today. I know how stupid it is, especially since Leo asked me and not the other way around, but I couldn't help but worry.

I knew that if we did this our friendship would never really be quite the same afterwards. I said yes in the moment but the more I thought about it afterwards, the less certain of my answer I became. I wanted to be with him as more than friends, even more than friends with benefits, but he doesn't want that. This might be the next best thing, but what if it hurts me even more than not being together at all?

Avoiding him also isn't a solution but I don't know what I want anymore.

'Yes you do,' an annoying voice in the back of my head said, 'you want him.' Even though I know it's true, I pushed the thought back. That will never happen.

I'm startled out of my thoughts by someone placing their hand on my shoulder, effectively making me jump. I hear a familiar laugh and turn to see those pretty brown eyes looking back at me, "Let's talk." Speak of the devil, he grabbed my hand and led me out of the theater. I was well aware of the many eyes that followed us, but I couldn't care less. All I could focus on was his hand in mine and how right that felt.

We walked for about a minute in silence before we reached the lake house where the canoes are stored. We sat down on the dock and let our feet dangle above the water.

"So.." we said in unison, making the both of us laugh. When that died down, I spoke again.

"I'm sorry for being so weird, this is just, new territory for me." I looked up at him, the ghost of his laughter still tracing his lips.

"Tell me about it, I've never even kissed a girl before," he played with the hem of his shirt while he talked. A nervous habit of his that I'd come to love.

"Yeah same for me. I mean, I've never kissed a guy either, or a girl for that matter." He looked at me as his signature smirk appeared on his face.

"There's no way, you're just trying to make me feel better. Really? Wow, princess, I thought a girl as pretty as you must have a waiting que for guys to ask her out." I gently bumped my shoulder against his, "Shut up Valdez." And in that moment I felt all of the doubts I previously had about this disappear. If I'm gonna do this with anyone, it's gotta be Leo. I trust him, and he trusts me

"But, if we are going to do this, if you still want to, that would be a good place to start don't you think? A kiss."

Our eyes met again and I felt myself inching forward, Leo mirroring my movement, "What do you mean 'if I still want to do this' you're stuck now, I'm not letting you get off that easily."

I felt the urge to wipe that smirk of his face, so I did, "Oh I'll show you how to get off alright," His smirk disappeared and he seemed startled for a moment, trying to come up with a witty response to that. If he found one, I'll never know because that's when I connected my lips to his.

The first few seconds were pretty awkward, with the both of us not really knowing where to put our hands or how to move our lips. But my body seemed to take over for me as my hands found their way to his shoulders and then to his hair, as if they had a mind of their own. Leo's hands landed on my hips, which he took advantage of by pulling me closer.

Finally, my lips seemed to get the memo that we were actually doing this as they started to move in sync with his. My mind went to putty as I let the rest of the world around me disappear and only focused on him and me, here in this moment. Leo's grip on my hips tightened as he tried to pull me even closer, which was impossible since my chest was already almost flush against his. If we moved any closer we would fall into the lake.

Leo's needy movements gave me a burst of confidence as I began to softly pull at his hair, earning a few soft grunts from him. He gently bit down on my lower lip and I happily obliged by slightly parting my lips so his tongue could slip inside.

We took our time to figure the whole tongue thing out, eventually we found our perfect balance between 'too much tongue' and 'too little tongue'. At that point our innocent first kiss had turned into a full-blown make-out session, but neither of us were complaining.

There was no need for a fight for dominance as I let him have it, enjoying the way he took control.

It was the most perfect first kiss I could have ever asked for, so of course someone had to come and ruin it. I got shaken out of my perfect little moment by someone clearing their throat behind us. Reluctantly I let go of Leo and looked up to see none other than Piper, looking away from us and blushing furiously.

"So, I'm guessing you guys made up?" she asked while still not looking at us.

"My dear Piper, what could have possibly given you that idea," Leo joked as he let go of my hips and scooted a little bit away from me, the loss of contact made me sad but I did realize we couldn't just keep going while our friend stood there awkwardly.

"Yeah, Piper, how'd you know?" I joked along with Leo.

She finally looked at us again as the blush on her cheeks began to fade, "Do you guys have any idea what time it is? The two of you have been gone for like forty minutes! I was getting worried, though now I see you would've been better off if I'd just left you be," she smiled and winked at us, "sorry for being a cock-block."

Now it was my turn to have my cheeks turn red, "Piper! We weren't going that far!" 'yet' I heard Leo murmur under his breath, barely loud enough for Piper to hear, but I did. I felt my cheeks heat up even more.

"Whatever you say," she said making me roll my eyes, "but it's getting close to curfew. You guys should go or you'll get in trouble."

"Thanks Beauty Queen, always looking out for us aren't you," Leo said while getting up and offering me his hand to help me up, which I took.

"I'm just glad Y/N took my advice for once, we all know how stubborn she can be," she stuck her tongue out at me and walked away before I could respond. I gave Leo one last peck and we headed for our own cabins too.
