"What? You keeping secrets for your best friend now Y/L/N?"
"Shut up Valdez," she gave me a little shove before taking Piper by the arm and dragging her away.
Your POV:
Once Leo was out of sight Piper smiled at me, "Gods, you're oblivious. Both of you."
I rolled my eyes at her, "Come on Pipes, not this again. I don't like him like that, and he doesn't like me like that. We're just friends." The words left a bitter taste in my mouth every time I said them. I know it's not the best idea to get a crush on your best friend, but you can't choose who you fall in love with, unfortunately.
"Uhuh, yeah sure. Keep saying that until you believe it yourself," Piper had become me best (girl)friend the moment she arrived at camp. And even though we've only known each other for a month so far, she was already starting to feel like a sister.
"Besides, that's not what I came here to talk to you about," I looked down at my watch, "Styx! I'm, late for archery! We'll talk later, okay?"
As I started rushing away, I could just hear Piper say: "Oh we'll talk alright." Which didn't sound that reassuring to me.

"Boo!" someone said while grabbing my shoulders. It made me jump and drop my popcorn but they caught it before it hit the ground. I turned around and saw Jason trying to contain his laughter.
"Gods, Y/N, for someone who has fought actual monsters you scare way to easily," he said while letting his laughter go.
"You dick," I say while yanking my popcorn out of his hands and punching him in the arm, "that's not funny." But I could barely contain my laughter myself.
We held our movie night inside of the big house. Everyone was invited but it usually ended up being just Jason, Piper, Annabeth, Leo and me. Sometimes other campers like the Stoll brothers, Nyssa, Jake Mason, Clarisse, Mitchel or Lacy would join, but usually it was just the five of us.
Mister D was surprisingly okay with the whole 'movie night' idea.
Piper picked the movie and she chose 'the final girls', another scary movie. Great.
I don't know why either, but I scare so easily. It does give me an excuse to cling to Leo though. The first few times last week were by accident, but he didn't seem to mind so I just clung to his arm and hid my face in the nape of his neck when the movie was too much for me.
He really is a great friend; I just wish we could be more.
Piper believed we could be, as a matter of fact, she was quite convinced he liked me too. But I just can't risk our friendship over my stupid crush.
I made my way over to the couch and plopped down on my usual spot, next to Leo. He smiled at me as I put the bucket of popcorn in between us but he didn't say anything. He even looked nervous, which was weird because he loved scary movies. I brushed it off and settled in, making myself comfortable.

Halfway through the movie I was pretty much glued to Leo's side and not even watching the movie anymore. Without realizing it I had moved so close to Leo that I was basically siting in his lap with my arms around his waist and my face buried in his neck.
"Just tell me if I'm to close," I whispered against his shirt, still not daring to look up.
"I-it's fine, next week is my turn to choose and I'll make sure it's something you can actually watch" he laughed as his shoulders tensed up a bit. "Thanks." I murmured into his shirt again.
