Alone Again (One Shot)

Green grass. 

Birds chirping. 

A beautiful, bright sun.

A perfect breakfast. 

With the one I love.

          What a perfect day it is! It's nice to live a life like this. I continued talking while sitting on the grass, raising my right arm, trying to protect Jin-Goo's almond-shaped eyes from the sun while he's laying on my lap. His brown eyes are smiling at me. I can feel his happiness.

"I hope we'd stay like this forever." Jin-Goo said. He sat beside me and crossed his arms in mine. I rested my head on his shoulders and closed my eyes while he was touching my hair, softly.

There was a moment of silence in us. Deep down in our hearts, we know how happy we currently are. No words can explain how much he means to me. The Lord God knows how much I prayed for this guy to be mine and I still can't believe that he is sitting beside me and we are both happy together.

Jin-Goo was my long-time crush. At first, he really did not know who I am. I was so disappointed back then, but I had no other choice but to wait. But really though, prayers do work. I don't know how, but here he is beside me. I wish we could stay longer.

Soo-ah, my bestfriend who knew Jin-Goo before I did, approached me and asked me to join her in riding on a boat. I agreed on her because I thought it was fun not knowing that I left Jin-Goo by himself, alone under the tree.

The view was great. You can feel the breeze, sun touching your skin, and a calm in your heart. But where's Jin-Goo? I forgot to bring him here! It would be perfect to experience this all with him. I used a binocular to check how he's doing but I couldn't see him. Meanwhile, we had fun on the boat and appreciated the view, tried to clear our minds and free ourselves from the stress in the city. 

After sunset, we all went back home. I still don't know where Jin-Goo is. 

*continuous knocking* "Ji-Eun? Are you there?"

The apartment lady knocked at my door very loudly that it woke me up from a sweet dream. I was asked for the payment first thing in the morning. Ah.

I woke up in the couch with my television left on. The house was a mess. I was alone.. again. But who was Jin-Goo though?

"Breaking news: 

"NASA scientists reportedly discover evidence of parallel universe where time moves backwar-"

WHAT?

What if the dream that I had was us in a parallel universe?

Maybe there, we could live happily.

Maybe there, I can see you with me.

There could be another us in a parallel universe..

But I have no idea who you are.
