Chapter 6 ~ What's Wrong with Hayes?

I said, "Well congrats guys. I'm so proud of y'all. High school sweethearts." "I'm proud of you and Cal. I've seen the hate you get on Twitter."

"He helps me through all of that stuff. We are together through thick and thin." "That's great. Well yall have a nice day. I hope to see you guys soon."

"Good luck with the baby. Bye guys." Then we left with Sky.

We went back to the house and Aaron immediately took Sky from me.

"Hey. She's mine." I took her back and said, "My sister. I get dibs."

I went upstairs and checked on Hayes. His whole body was shaking. I put Sky down and went over to him.

"Hayes, calm down." "I can't stop shaking."

"Just calm down. It's okay. I'm right here." Sky said, "Laura. What's wrong with Hayes?"

"I don't know sweetheart. How about you go downstairs and play with Calum? I'll be down in a little bit. Okay?"

She nodded and went downstairs. I laid next to him and wrapped my arms around him. I stroked his hair and he started to stop shaking. Soon he wasn't shaking and he was asleep. I quietly got off his bed and went downstairs. I sat on Cal's lap and laid my head on his chest.

He said, "Is he okay?" I shrugged.

"Do you not want to come with us because of Hayes?" "No. I want to go. I'm just-."

"Worried about him. I know. But I promise he'll be okay. Just calm down." I nodded he kissed the top of my head and said, "I love you."

"I love you too." "Are you sure you wanna come with us?"

I nodded and said, "I am not going to be able to handle being without you. One day was hard enough." "Look at me."

He put his finger under my chin and lifted my head up. "Look. He's gonna be fine. Okay? I love you and Hayes is a strong boy. He should be fine." I nodded.

I heard a thump upstairs. My mind immediately went to Hayes. I ran up to his room and he was laying on the floor holding his head.

"What happened?" "I fell out of my bed."

I went over to him and he immediately fell into my arms.

"Hey you're okay. Calm down. You're fine. I'm right here." "My head hurts really bad."

I moved his hand from the back of his head. "Is it bleeding?"

"No. It's not. You're fine. Don't worry. Let's get you back in your bed." "No. I don't wanna take another nap. I want to stay with you."

"Okay." I helped him up and we went downstairs. I sat him in his chair and sat next to cal. Hayes said, "Laura. Can I have a blanket? I'm freezing."

"Sure bub." I started to get up but Cal said, "I got it. You've done a lot today. Just relax."

"Thank you baby." He kissed the top of my head and went to get Hayes's blanket. Sky came over to me and sat on my lap. She said, "Is Hayes okay?"

"He just doesn't feel well." "Why not?"

"I'm not sure sweetie." Hayes started shaking again.

I went over to him and said, "Calm down you're okay." "I'm so hot. But I can't stop shaking."

"Stay right here. I'll be right back. Sky. If anything happens come get me. Okay?" She nodded.

I went up to Nash's room and said, "I need to talk to you alone." He got up and we went to my room.
