Jim walked into the forest, dark and empty. Rumors has it that anyone who entered, dies. Or have a fate worth than death. The story has been changed throughout the years, and families. His great great great grandfather made the story after his youngest ventured into the very same woods. Of course, Jim doesn't believe it, and went in anyways. He always wondered what was in anyways, so curiosity got the better of him, and ran away to venture forth. He believed the same happened to the young kid all those years ago, to have freedom.
Jim set down his bags, and sat at the base of a dead tree. He would've taken more, but he was in a rush. As the wind picked up, leaves blew in circles, mimicking the invisible air. He knew paranormal activity was about to appear, since the wind kept getting stronger. Dead air smacked Jim, as he sought to seek shelter.
After walking around, he found an apartment, torn up from not being used and from nature. Jim shrugged it off, and walked in. The main area was still intact, and somehow still have furniture that isn't moldy. Jim didn't question it, and sat down. This will be his new home, and he was sure of it. But he still needs to find a reliable way to get food, and get water. He just put it aside for now, and roamed around. He found a room that wasn't heavily damaged, and a generator. But it couldn't make electricity due to being so old. Jim wanted to fix it soon, and continued to look around.
He wondered until he found a storage closet. Seeing if it could help him fix the generator, he opened it up. But what he found was only a locked box, covered in chains and locks, but were opened due to rust. Jim ignored the chains, and opened the box. In it was fabric, all looking brand new and ready to be used. Pins, needles, and a piece of paper were at the top, with the paper saying "Be who we always wanted you to be, a freak show mechanic," in blood red. Jim just looked confused as the fabric floated up. Jim screamed, before being covered in fabric.
As the world turned to black for the boy, the needles began to spin string, the pins guiding the fabric. The spider needles stitched in the boys head, as the fabric carved long ears into the other side. Tiny pin men planned out the tail, and the legs. The fabric pushed the body into unnatural proportions, and thinned out the legs. The spiders worked endlessly, spreading out to cover more body. The quicker the better, and they were going quick. All they need is to put the body on a bed, and wait for it to wake up.
Jim woke up on something soft. His eyes weren't opened yet, but he knew he was in the hotel. Yawning, he got up and stretched, touching his arms. He felt the fur, and looked at the arms. They were covered in a silky gold fur, short and soft. He had webbed paws, with a few stitches here and there. He got off the bed and ran to the bathroom, to look at his new self. His hair was styled the same, with the same electric blue eyes. But everything else changed. He had long, drooping ears, blue googles, and a long fuzzy tail. Tears were forming around the eyes, as a needle spider crawled in the room. Jim saw it, and backed off. The spider looked confused, before putting the two front needles up, to surrender. It wanted to help the boy to adjust to his new body, but wasn't understood by Jim. He instead cower away even more, before the spider rested its body on a furry leg. Jim was too afraid to move, but slowly calmed down. The spider, didn't hurt him, instead waved.
Soon while, Jim followed the spider towards the generator, before pointing at some tools. He was confused, since they weren't there before, but decided to try. Grabbing the tools, he went to work. Before long, he got it done. The spider even helped by going in places he couldn't get his hand-paws through. He was covered in sweat, wiping some off his head. The day was spent, and night flooded onto the world. But he wasn't tired, not one bit. He felt loneliness, and regret. He can't see his family anymore, or even to the town. Then he thought of something, "What if I make an attraction here? So people aren't afraid of this forest?" he pondered out loud, catching the spider, whom agreed. It wanted to see more people, and make friends. But most of all, work on more people.
Jim began to work, first fixing the crumbling building. The foundation was poor, walls were falling down, and had few places he could've worked with. All he needed was one more room, and the attraction could start. The spider asked the other needles, pins, and fabric if they wanted to help, which everyone but the fabric agreed. They wanted to stay, waiting for the next person. Pins worked on the decarations, while the spiders helped Jim.
Before long, the place was set. Part of the lobby was used for tickets, while everything else is the attraction. The pins made sure that they got one person each year, to help and keep the fabric calm. Jim was fine with it, since he assumed the fabric made the box happy.
