Hi everybody!
I'm back with a new story! It's a Meteor Garden fanfiction again, inspired freely by the movie "You've got a mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
I hope you'll like it!
Enjoy
Chapter 1: The Secret Messages application
Shancai watched the plane take off, imagining that Lei was inside, leaving to find the girl he had loved since childhood. Her heart tightened as a lump formed in her throat, making it hard for her to breathe.
Wasn't she stupid? He'd left because of her; she'd pushed him into someone else's arms. Why wasn't she able to be selfish for once? But no, the good, altruistic, compassionate Shancai, loyal friend against all the odds, had once again stepped in to help a soul in pain! And her soul, who was going to comfort hers?
The young woman closed her eyes, sighing deeply as her tears threatened to flow. Deep down inside, she knew she'd never match Jing, even once she would be gone. Lei would never look at a girl like her. A girl who dressed like a tomboy and kicked the heads of those who annoy her.
She had to forget him once and for all!
From behind her, she could vaguely hear the rest of the F4 crew talking. She even thought she could distinguish her name, but it was as if she was trapped in a thick fog, nothing seemed to reach her anymore. She knew, however, that he was looking at her, he, Daoming Si.
She felt his presence near her and turned her head lazily towards him. The pineapple-headed boy seemed strangely nervous, fidgeting on the spot, looking to gather all his courage to tell her something, but that something remained completely incomprehensible, muffled by the sound of a plane passing overhead.
She wanted to tell him that she didn't understand a word he said, but once again, the great Daoming Si got annoyed and walked away, his hands stuck in his pockets and frowning. The boy was behaving very strangely. But had he ever acted normally before?
No, he had nothing ordinary. He seemed to have been born to make her life impossible and exasperate her. And, worst of all, he didn't seem ready to leave her alone! Perhaps he even wanted to torment her for the rest of her life. She sighed; maybe it was her punishment for daring to like the inaccessible Huaze Lei.
Well, it was true that Daoming Si wasn't always talking nonsense. As they said goodbye to Jing, his words had surprised her by their relevance and maturity, summing up in a few words the big worry Lei and she were going through.
"What if we were to die tomorrow? Why have a lifetime full of regret? If you don't say anything, how can the person opposite know how unhappy you are?"
Strangely enough, the memory of his words made her heart flutter a little more. What was wrong with her right now? She could still feel Daoming Si's gaze on her, which didn't help. Finally, Qinghe had just come back with his arms full of caffeinated and chocolatey drinks and managed to bring her out of her stupor.
The young man spoke with animation, distributing the huge cups topped with whipped cream to the remaining members of the F4 who watched him with a jaded and weary look. Then Qinghe turned to her, a huge smile on his face. He almost ran towards her to give a drink to her. Out of the corner of his eye, Shancai saw Daoming Si glare at her best friend. What was wrong with that pineapple head?
"Hey! Shancai, Shancai, Shancai!" Qinghe exclaimed, almost jumping on his spot. The young woman blushed, embarrassed, as she spotted Meizuo and Ximen rolling their eyes at the young man's exuberant behavior. As for Daoming Si, he scowled even more as he was watching them. "Did I already tell you that I got elected, with Lizhen, as a delegate to the Student Council?" Qinghe continued, completely ignoring what was going on around him.
