"Wow, this is kinda creepy..."

He chuckled nervously as he followed her into the apartment. It was dark, the curtains all closed and the light coming from a single neon light barely enough to see where you were going.

"Is it?"

She seemed unfazed by the statement, her emotionless expression befitting her rooms.

It was weird, because as cold as that seemed towards him, the only thing he could feel from her was sadness.

Sadness that her room, her figure, her entire being seemed to drown in.

He could almost see her lying on the large bed for hours, days, not moving, emotionlessly staring into the dark and it was frightening, made him feel helpless even tho she was the one who probably needed help.

"Is everything okay?"

Her voice sounded concerned, serious and if anything it scared him even more; scared how much she cared for him when she couldn't even care for herself.

And it left him mad at himself because he felt he was too afraid to ask her the same, feared that he couldn't carry all that weighed her down and so he just nodded, didn't say anything.
