Prologue
Ever since I was a kid, I've known Haven.
He was the person I would always look up to. He's modest. He's charming. He's kind and respectful. He's always the top of his class and he's a very good son and brother. He's everything anyone could ask for. And I was lucky to have him. To be able to feel his love.
Haven was the man of my dreams. He loved me and he promised me the universe. He promised to marry me and be with me for the rest of our lives.
But then, they say, promises are meant to be broken. I didn't believe it until it happened to me.
The girl in front of me, Anne, slid a rectangular shaped thing on the table and it was too familiar to ignore.
"I'm pregnant."
I felt like my whole world stopped. My hands started shaking and my heart wanted to burst out open.
No matter how much you trust and love the person, it wouldn't be enough. It would never be enough for someone who wishes for something more than what you can give- and it hurts.
Ginawa ko naman ang lahat. I gave everything up because he was my dream guy. He's all that I want. I gave him my everything. But I was so stupid to give him my whole heart just to break it in the end.
Nanginginig ako sa halo-halong nararamdaman. Sa sakit. Sa galit. Sa lungkot at sa pagsisisi. I looked at the woman in front of me as she cried. I wanted to hurt her but. . .I can't.
Bumaba ang tingin ko sa tiyan niya.
It's the fruit of their sinful affair. I could never accept that.
No matter how much I wanna hurt her, I still think about the child.
I drove. I drove as fast as I could. I wanna go away. I wanna run from all of this.
Heavy drops of rain started pouring heavily. A blinding light covered my whole sight and I felt that I bumped into something. Blood flooded down on my face before everything went black.
