The Losers' club was sitting around the circular table in the cafeteria. They all had lunch together. Stan and Bill were bickering, per usual. Ben and Bev were looking at each-other, not knowing how the other felt. Everyone else in the friend group knew about their longing to be with each other, but they were oblivious.
"EDDIE AND I ARE DATING" Everyone at the table sat with their mouths agape whilst staring at the two boys.
"Richie! We agreed to tell them together. I didn't give you permission to say that!" Richie's eyes were blown wide open and a blush blocked on his cheeks.
"Oh my God I didn't mean to say that. I'm sorry Eds"
"No, don't worry about it, my love" He planted a chaste kiss upon his boyfriend's puckered lips.
"Get a room you two!"Said Mike while laughing. Everyone in the group said that they fully supported them. The rest of lunch was spent talking about how compatible Richie and Eddie were. It was also filled with 'I told you so's and 'you owe me 10 bucks'. Apparently everyone had known except for the two boys involved.
"Now we just have to get Ben and Bev together!" Stan said with a huge grin plastered on his face. Bev said she had to use the bathroom, but she couldn't hide the deep red blush covering her face. Ben said he had to get to class.
Boldly Stan said,"Ugh you guys are probably just going to make out in the janitors closet." The teens everything but applauded him for trying to make them confess their feelings. The 5 boys ate in silence. Mike finally broke it by saying,"So, I met someone."
Everyone turned to him and told him to tell them more.
"Well, her name is Lucy. She's really sweet. Hmm, I met her when I was on vacation in Florida. She has auburn hair and green eyes, and she's gorgeous. She likes me too, but we're taking things slow." They were all so happy for Mike. He'd always been the one who gave relationship advice, but never got into a relationship himself. They congratulated him. All of the boys were genuinely happy for Mike. Happy, caring, and loving Mike. He deserved the world. No one could disagree with that.
~time skip to after school~
"Let's go to the quarry!" Said Beverly as they were walking down Neibolt Street. The entire Losers' Club agreed. They spent the rest of the afternoon splashing around. It was the most fun that they'd had in a long while. But little did they know, that happiness wouldn't last long. Especially for 2 specific members of the club.
