Chapter 5

i got my bags and walked to the pick up area.
i saw ant and vani walk in but they didn't see me. i walked around so i was behind them and screamed

y/n: VANIIIII

av: AHHHHHH OMG Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE
she screamed while pulling me into a hug

y/n: i missed you and so i decided i was gonna see you!!

av: awwee that's so sweet

y/n: hehe. WE HAVE SO MUCH TO CATCH UP ON LETS GOOOO

av: yes let's goo

anthony (ant): i guess im just air then huh

y/n: ANT
i screamed and ran to hug him. even though i only just met him in person, it felt like we've known eachother forever

ant: well hello to you to

y/n: ahh it's so nice to FINALLY meet you!

ant: yeah i know right. but it feels like we've known eachother forever lmao

y/n: yes i agree haha

av: ok ok ok. let's goooooo i wanna talk to my favorite cousin

y/n: ok calm your farm. but pleaseeee can we get coffee? i don't care where just as long as i get it.

av: yes i need coffee too hehe

ant: we'll go to Starbucks on the way home. do you know your order y/n?

y/n: no. i've only been to Starbucks like twice haha

av: WHAT. HOW

y/n: there aren't that many in australia and i couldn't be bothered driving an hour for a drink haha

av: WELL WE HAVE TO GO NOW. omg i'll be there for your first timeeee 🥺

ant: geez vani it's just coffee. anyway let's go before y/n falls alseep

y/n: yes that's a very good idea
we all laughed and walked out of the airport. we got to anthony's car and i gasped because it looked soooo expensive. vani and ant laughed at me but i laughed with them.
we went to Starbucks and i got a venti ice latte. it was actually really good haha. there were so many places i'd never seen before. like chick-fil-a and dunkin donuts (australia doesn't have dunkin sad ik 😔) but im guessing it was a chicken place and dunkin was obviously a donut place.
we got to vani's apartment and i was so excited to see her mum and her sisters priya and shanti. i hadn't seen them for like 7 years and couldn't wait to catch up.
i have to admit it was kinda weird hearing everyone in an american accent. i almost didn't understand what they were saying sometimes. like vani said 'are you ready to go?' and i almost said 'what the fuck does that mean' haha. but i adjusted quickly to my surprise. i thought it would take me a few days to understand them completely. anyway, we went inside and priya ran up to us and jumped on me. the last time i saw her she was A LOT smaller

priya(pr): AHH OMG Y/N!!! i cant believe you're here!!!

y/n: aww it's so good to see you too pri!!!

shanti(sh): omg y/n it's been wayyy too long!

y/n: ugh i know!! i would've come sooner but school and dance.... there was a lot haha

sh: it's alright. you're here now that's all that matters
she joined me and priya's hug. we all pulled away after a few seconds and priya asked

pr: how long are you staying y/n?

y/n: i don't know yet. maybe a week or two

pr: no please stay longer!! pleaseeeeee

y/n: well as long as it's alright with your mum. speaking of, where is she?

av: oh she went out to get some groceries. she should be back soon
as soon as avani said that, she walked through the door

y/n: aunt anisha!!!

anisha(an): oh my gosh! y/n! it's so good to see you!
she said while pulling me into a hug

y/n: it's so good to see you too!

an: oh please! come into the kitchen. i'm going to start dinner

av: ugh yessss im starvingggg
we all laughed at vani. i followed them into the kitchen. aunt anisha started dinner and we all talked and laughed
we ate dinner and i went to vani's room, where she said i could stay, and i got changed into some pj's

vani came up and we sat and talked for ages. she told me all about the hype house and anthony and stuff and i told her about my graduation and stuff. we talked until 2 am and then we finally passed out.
