TIME SKIP : ONE WEEK LATER REAL LIFE!
"I'M FINE!" carmen slammed her hand onto the kitchen table, shaking it and rattling the dishes set on it.
her parents gasped and her mom spoke up, "carmen mae, you do not speak to us like that. we are trying to help! a therapist wouldn't be the worst thing ever." the older woman tried to reason.
carmen pretended to think about it and seconds later responded shortly, "hmmm, no."
"for us? please." her father begged carmen, taking her soft hands into his.
carmen took her hands out of her fathers and made her way to the stairs.
"whatever. fine, i guess."
carmen stomped upstairs to her room and slammed her bedroom dramatically behind her. carmen fell on her her face first, colliding with the soft blanket and many pillows.

TIME SKIP : FOUR WEEKS LATER REAL LIFE!
"GOODBYE, CARMEN." carmen's new therapist, melanie, spoke sweetly from her desk as carmen left the room.
"goodbye, ms. roberts." carmen nodded towards the therapist and exited the cozy office.
outside of the office stood carmens parents. her mother immediately started talking. "how was she, dear? do you like her?"
"yeah, she's really nice. she gives off such a good vibe." carmen smiled lightly at the thought.
"and she smelt very good." carmen added causing her parents to laugh.
"i'm glad you liked her, honey." her farther squeezed her shoulder as the group made their way out of the building.
"me too," carmen sighed.
"is something on your mind, carmen?" her mother asked worriedly.
"yes mom, i'm fine. but i just- nevermind." carmen chuckled dryly.
"tell us, dear." her mother encouraged her daughter reassuringly.
"well, i haven't seen sadie in months, and i was wondering when i could see her again?"
"oh, honey. we're trying our hardest." carmen's mother opened the back door of their car for her and carmen thanked her and got in.
"yeah, yeah." carmen sighed and rubbed her eyes, "i just miss her."
"we know, carmen." her farther glanced at her from the rear view mirror, shooting her a sympathetic smile.
