The Only Exception

Chapter Seven: Same Mistake

"No not at all. I just need to tell you something."

"O-okay. Is it far....."

After they left, I just realize that me and Jade are the only one here.

"What are you staring at?!" she barked at me. I didn't even realize it that I was staring at directly at her.

"Nothing...it's just that we're the only one here." I said in dismay but it is kinda the truth.

Then she just when quiet for a second.

"Let me guess..." she started. "He doesn't want you to quit, right?"

"What?"

"Sikowitz. It's like he doesn't want us to quit."

"Maybe. He is avoiding our questions."

This is so akward talking to her normally. After some time, Sikowitz entered the class with Cat.

"So can you handle that, Cat?"

"Y-yeah, I guess so."

"Okay everybody pack your things." he announced.

"Wait, why? Nobody's here yet." I argued.

"I have a meeting today...so get out and remember what I said Cat." he said as we get out of his classroom.

"What did just say to you Cat?" I ask.

"Oh, just nothing particular." she shrugged. Jade seems don't easily believed.

"I don't believe you." Jade said plainly.

"How can you say that?" I asked.

"I can tell people if they are lying to me or not. Cat?"

 "Really?" We stopped.

 "Why did you lie to me then?" Jade said impatiently. Both of us just stare at her.

"Umm its.....just.....that.....ahhh....." Then she fainted.

 What an awkward situation.

"I hate when she does that. What am l going to do with you?" she grimaced as she lifted Cat.

She is so unnusually strong.

"Ummm wait, Let me help you with that-"

"No." she defense." I can handle it."

"Are you sure?"

She then starts walking past to me.

"Don't you ever underestimate my ability." she whispered.

"I don't understand what -"

"Forget it but I hope you survive though." she left already leaving me dumpstruck as always.

What does she mean survive?
                                                          
I was just going to Tori's class when I see Sikowitz talking something to Robbie.

      "That is all then." Sikowitz said. "You two are the only people I could ever trust with this."

"Sure thing. I won't let you down." Robbie smiled.

"Oh really then?" Rex said.

I almost forgot Rex. He seems quiet lately.

"Rex! don't worry about a thing. We will never tell them-"

     "Tell them what?" I ask as I approach them. Robbie almost screamed at me.

"Beck geez, could you be stop being sneaky. How long are you standing there?" he ask while shivering.

"Not that much but did you see Tori? I have to talk to her."

"She was with Andre in the Music Room practicing." he replied.

   "So what are you guys talking about?" I ask.

"Um. You know about the lights and music and stuff.... I'm the technical director after all."

His shaking and speaking clamsy.

He is definently hiding something.

"Cool, good luck with that." I said then walk past them.

I swear I heard Rex smirking.

"That was almost close I thought he could.........." but that's all I hear before turning left towards the Music Room.

As I was about to open the door. I heard Tori and Andre talking.

".....do you think I'm doing the right thing to ignore him?"

"I don't know. I think your over reacting to this situation. Beck will do anything for you." Andre explain.

I'm so lucky to have him as a friend.

"You think so?" she ask.

"Of course! He loves you so stop being so melodramatic on me. I'm not a love expert." then they laugh.

I get inside the room to their surprise.

"Tori, l need to talk to you please hear me out-"

"That's okay, you don't need to apologize." she cut.

"What? Really!"

"Yeah, I'm sorry if I'm a little rough on you. I know you were just doing this for me." she explain.

"I understand." I said without hesitation. But really I don't understand at all.

Something is bad going to happen whenever I fix one.

"Beck, Are you sure your doing the play? You know you can quit, right?" Andre ask.

"I can't." I admit. "Sikowitz doesn't want to."

"Me too." Tori added. "I want to quit  because of my character."

"Why? Who are you playing anyway?" I ask. I can't believe I forgot to ask her.

"I'm gonna be the third wheel in the relationship in the story." she dismay.

"What? That's awful to hear." I lied.

For some actually reason. I just realize that I have no idea what the story is all about!!!!    

"How on earth did you know that?" I ask her, almost screaming.

"Well, Sinjin told us a glimpse of it. You know him?" Tori said.

"Why? Didn't he tell you?" Andre ask.

"No, not at all. I didn't even see him this morning." I said. "Oh yeah, Andre, what role did you get?"

"No, Sinjin just told us Tori's role. He doesn't want to tell anybody about thus but Tori was so persistence so who just open up." Andre explained.

"You are one persistent girl." I told Tori.

"Well, you know me. Wait didn't you have class today?" She asked.

"No, Sikowitz says he had some meetings to attend to." I explained.

"Oh, too bad Sinjin didn't tell us your role. He could only spill my role." Tori pouted.

"That's okay, it is gonna be exciting to find out later, right?" I grimaced.

"Okay, okay let's go for lunch?" Andre ask.

"Sure!" Me and Tori shouted at him.
