What happened in the spare room.

Spare Room

I was told to share this story, to show I fought for against the lies, that I fought against the negative things, that I found the truth about me.

The shutters were always closed, casting a shadow across all 4 walls. The grey bed sheets that were never made, they were stained with blood and cum, sweat and tears. This room was filled with a bad aura. There were screams stuck inside the walls, the floor, and ceiling. The small boy used to love this room. Back when the walls were bright blue radiating laughter. Back when the bed was made every day. Back when he used to hide in the closet waiting for his brother to find him. Back when his mother pulled back the shutters letting the morning sun in. He doesn't love it anymore. He hates it. He's scared of it. Begs for it not to exist. Clinging to the distant memories, but there being pushed away by nightmares. Him being shoved against the walls. Him being beat till he was bloody and couldn't move. Being stripped of his clothes being forced to do dirty things. His father's harsh words telling him he was nothing. He hated it. Soon the rot from the room grew on the boy, corrupting him. The rot moved all through the house. He hated it, he hated life. Soon he grew to hate himself. He knew he was nothing, useless. There really was no use for him in this world. He wanted it to end.

Someone told him he did have a purpose. At first he didn't believe it. How could he have a purpose? But he was shown the morning sun again. He pulled him from the decaying building. Showed him he could spread life. He showed him how much he meant. Showed him he could love again. Showed him that he was loved. How was he so lucky to have been shown the truth? Did he deserve it? Who knows? What's done is done. He walked away from the rotting building following a much cleaner path to a new house. A house that radiated love. A house that welcomed him. A place where he was told the truth. A place he could finally be free from the rotting life he used to live.
