We Tried

Wait

     Aaron's POV

     I ran after Laurence and Aphmau.

     "Laurence, if you tell everyone I'll kill you!" Aphmau yelled. I quickly caught up to her, then Laurence. I pinned him to the ground. 

     "Don't tell anyone," I had the sword pinning Laurence down.

     "Why did you take her from me?" Laurence yelled.

     "She never was yours," I responded. 

     "Oh come on! She clearly loves me," Laurence said.

     "No, I don't," Aph said. 

     "Really?" Laurence asked. I took a deep breath. I don't want to hurt him. 

     "Laurence, if you don't tell them, I'll..," My voice trailed off.

     "You have to stop being with her or I'll tell them," Laurence said.

     "What? No," I said. 

     "I'll tell everyone," Laurence said.

     "Fine," I quietly said. 

     "No!" Aphmau said.

     "It's ok," I said. 

     "No," Aph said.

     "Alright, if I catch you two I'll tell everyone," Laurence said. He walked off. 

     "Are you crazy?" Aph asked.

     "Kind of," I said.

     "I'd rather us tell everyone," Aphmau said.

     "Not yet," I said.

     "You're insane. Why don't we tell everyone?" Aph asked.

     "I'm not ready, Aph," I said. 

     "I can't not love you. I love you so much," She said.

     "I know. I love you too. I know how to be careful," I said.

     "We share a bed. He'll be watching us like a hawk. He'll see us in the bed," She said.

     "I know," I kissed her forehead. 

     "When can we tell them?" She asked.

     "I don't know. Maybe two weeks," I shrugged.

     "I can't wait that long. I need to love you," She said.

     "You need to be patient and wait," I said. We walked back to the village. We went home and went to bed. I slept on the floor with a blanket and a pillow. I really wasn't ready to tell everyone...
