Everything ends, and everything dies,
Nobody knows why, but everything around us breaks down and cries.
When we give up, when we can't fight anymore,
We stop and run, though the devils front door.
He imprisons us, in our own shadow,
No matter how much we beg for mercy, he will never let us go.
Not even time can free us, because we are already dead,
Death gives us an eternity, to cleanse the hatred from our head.
Our family remembers us, our friends make us proud,
They make a stand in the world, and boy they make it loud!
The living can't hear us, but we are always by their side,
To stand by a loved one, even after death, because of my pride.
But one day, one day we will be together,
I will be with you, for the rest of my after-life, forever.
I wrote this to honor a friend who lost her father when she was just a little girl; it's a reminder that even after death, the people you've lost will still love you, and they will wait forever to be reunited with you once again. Thank you for reading<3
