"We wanna see you Audi." Moe says as we get down to baggage claim. "We haven't seen you in almost two Months."
"Well you can thank the Orlando Pride for that." I say.
"Are you ever gonna come back to America?"
"Um Daan and I's contracts run out after this 2023-24 season so we'll see what our options are and what's best for us." I say then Balto barks.
"Hi Balto." Moe says and scratches behind the huskies ears.
Once Balto has had enough scratches, Moe heads over to baggage claim, gets my bag, then we head to the awaiting car.
"Rugrat." Christen says as she opens the door.
"Chrissy." I say with a smile then I crutch into her arms.
"How ya doing?"
"I'm good." I admit then Balto yips.
"Hi Balto." Christen says then she pets Balto.
I swear that dog loves attention more than any human I know.
Once Balto's had enough he nudges Christen's hand to my leg.
"Need help into the car?" Christen asks.
"Yes please." I say.
Christen nods then she and Moe help me into the passenger seat of the rental car.
"Good?" Christen questions.
"I'm okay." I say.
"Good." Christen says then she closes the door.
Moe and Christen put my bags in the back then Moe and Balto get in the backseat while Christen gets in the drivers seat. Once everyone is in the car Christen starts driving to the hotel we'll be staying at.
When we get to the hotel Christen and Moe help me out of the car then Moe grabs my bags before the four of us walk into the hotel. Once in the hotel we head to the team chill/meeting/meal room.
"HI AUNTIE AUDI." Avery shouts when I crutch into the room.
"Hi sweetie." I say with a smile then I realize the little girl is too occupied with breakfast to come hug.
"What do you want to eat?" Christen asks.
"Uh food?" I say.
"Alright." Christen says and rolls her eyes. "Go sit down.
"Okay Auntie Chrissy." I say then I kiss my Aunt's cheek before I head to the open spot at the table.
As I'm heading to the open spot at the large table I notice something shiny so I crutch over to it.
"Hey Audi." Abby says.
"Hi." I say then I grab her arm and raise her hand.
On Abby's left ring finger is a very shiny diamond ring.
"You got engaged?" I question.
"Yeah." Abby says with a smile. "Sofia proposed while we were on vacation after the World Cup."
"Congrats." I say.
"Thanks." Abby says.
"Anybody else get engaged?" I question as I look at the team.
"Maya and I are engaged." Mal says.
"Well I knew that." I say.
"You did?" Mal asks.
"She asked my opinion on rings." I say. "But I never saw your ring so that was all her."
"Oh...Cool." Mal says with a smile.
"Anybody else?" I question.
"We did." Lindsey says.
"Sick...Imma go eat now." I say before I crutch over to the space in-between Christen and Moe
Once I sit down I start eating my food.
As I'm eating my phone rings so I pick it up.
"Hey Audi." Daan says.
"Hi Princess." I say and involuntarily smile
"Audrey I need to tell you something."
"Okay?" I say. "What's up?"
My girlfriend tells me something that I did not expect to hear so I grip onto the table.
"Moe?" I question.
"Yeah Audi."
"Help." I beg then everything turns to black.
