her last request || Giyuu x Demon Reader

Start from the beginning

But isn't that normal?

Showing emotions like I'm human?

"WHY ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF KILLING MY OWN SISTER? WHAT KIND OF MONSTER AM I?" I screamed, Why did he accuse me of killing my own blooded sister,

I can't do that,

not in a million years.

"You see," I whimpered again, "We were just enjoying the festival here in this village. I--We never experienced having festivals since we live at the top of the mountain. Once the moon was up, no one saw it coming." I looked at my sister's body, and I can feel the regret washing me over, "If only I didn't insist on staying up late, none of this would've happened to her,"

The man stood there quietly he didn't unsheathe his sword instead he intently looked at me,

For a moment, I saw his eyes full of regret

"I should've come earlier. None of this would've happened," The stoic man stated, "The creature you've seen is what we call demons. They eat people with no remorse as if it's there instinct to do that. They multiplied when humans are exposed to their blood. That's why we, the demon slayer corps were created to annihilate these dangerous creatures," He explained he examined me as if I'm an animal,

But, if he were to annihilate those demons,

Why does his sword pointing at me the moment he saw me?

I finally looked at myself, I gasped as I saw my wounds aren't there anymore, my fingernails are longer, and I could feel that I've become stronger now.

No...

"Please don't tell me I'm one of those disgusting creatu-," I pleaded to the guy,

"Don't you feel hungry when you saw your sister in front of you," He didn't finish my sentence. I then looked at my dear sister,

I don't feel anything

Instead of hunger, I feel guilt.

"Clearly, you've been thinking how your injuries suddenly healed," I gasped as I feel his sword slid over my neck, I then felt a warm liquid coming from my neck but suddenly stopped,

This can't be...

"and how your appearance changed over time." I looked at him as I felt my tears dripping down on my cheeks, "You're a demon now," His gaze softened, this is the first time that he ever saw a demon crying in front of their enemies, "I should've arrived earlier so that I could spare your life,"

Demon...

I'm a Demon?

No!

I am a human!

I don't want to become like those sick demons...

"Even if you have sworn to not kill humans, I don't guarantee it. No demons can hold their desires to eat them. That's their true nature and that's why we kill all demons to prevent any killings to ever happen again," The man said with strong conviction, looking at the victim who is now a demon

"Please be safe, (Y/n),"

I should've known

"I'm sorry, dear sister," I cried once again, looking at her disheveled state, "If that's what your corps truly believe, then so be it," I gulped and looked at the ebony-haired man,

I wish I could turn back time...

"Please kill me, so that I can't harm other humans," I pleaded, "and after that, Please bury me beside my sister,"

"Please, I beg you," The stoic man contemplated whether he'll inform the pleading demon that once she was dead her body will have no remains,

"As you wish,"

============

After he gave the demon a bamboo muzzle to prevent her from eating anyone, he remembered his encounter with another demon whose exposed to blood but didn't bother to eat her sister, he whispered into the cold and thin air, "I'm sorry, I didn't spare you, but I wish you good luck in your afterlife with your sister,"

"Maybe, if we're to meet in different circumstances. Who knows, we've might have become friends..."

==========

Note:

Man, I'm crying because of this chapter. Like, He didn't even inform our reader that her body will disintegrate and will leave no remains after that but instead gave her the hope to be with her older sister even in death *cries*. I hope they'll meet in an afterlife *cries*.
