💕 Neighbors 💕

"Who was the cutie you were just talking too? ." Jae questioned me with a smirk on her face!!

"Oh - um that's my neighbor, N-Noah!" i felt my cheeks heat up!

Jae was still smirking, as she nudged me with her elbow.
"oooo, someone has a crush!!" Jae giggled latching her arm with mine.

We both giggled as we entered the school

I hated Science, it was a waste of time. In my opinion. I understand some people want to become scientist or they need science experience for their future careers,I didn't. To be completely honest, I don't know what I want to become, my mom always tells me that I need to decide, so that I can work extra hard in the subjects that will help be get that job. it's a lot of pressure, sometimes I have mental breakdowns because of it, I'm still 14. I should be doing teenager things not worrying about my future, Right?

"Miss Linn!  Miss Linn!" Mr Avery yelled from across the class room.

I shook my head, so that I could snap out of it.

"ye-yes, Mr Avery?" I was confused, why did he want to talk too me, I was failing his class anyways, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I definitely not stupid.

" Miss Linn - " he chuckled sarcastically "- where is your Science Homework?" he asked, tilting his head.I could see my reflection in his bald spot.

I chuckled softly and a small smile appeared on my face, but it immediately went away when i knew that I had forgotten it on the kitchen table.

" Oh Shoot!! " I exclaimed out loud
"I forgot it at home, Mr Avery, I'm sorry" I added
I was so embarrassed, I hid my face in the palms of my hands.I just wanted to go home,lost in my thoughts once again,I felt a hand on my lower back, I felt my back shiver and heat on my cheeks, I removed my hands from my face and turned my head to the side.

"Noah?" I whispered, "you - you in my Science Class?" I added in disbelief

"Yep! he shrugged his shoulders, "Do you mind if I sit next to you for the rest of the semester?"
he asked with an innocent tone in his voice, it was first time I had actually heard his british accent.

" I stared at him, looking at his features, he was actually - handsome. He had very curly hair, which I find attractive,his smile was so precious, he had a baby face for sure but something just made him seem manly-

" Zoey? " he questioned while waving his hand in front of my face.

I shook my head, snapping out of it.
"I'm sorry, what was your question? " I chuckled softly

"Can sit next to you for the rest of the semester?" he asked again. this time hoping for an answer.

"o-Of course you can!" I exclaimed loudly, getting everyones attention unintentionally.

My face instantly turned red . Mr Avery looked at me with a stern look on his face, but carried on talking another teacher that was on the otherside the classroom door.

Noah and I giggled.

" How was Science?" Jae asked, she knew I hated it. I don't know why, she asked me, maybe she saw the pink tint my cheeks had, or that I had small smile on my face. Usually after Science I'm grumpy or have a depressed look on my face.

"It was actually, Great!" I chuckled at my own sentence and bit my bottom lip.

"Really! WAIT-what you hate Science, did something happ?" she was shocked.

"Well, I forgot my Science homework on the kitchen table so I couldn't turn it in, I saw my reflection in Mr Averys bald spot." I said scratching the top of my head.

"Is that why you're blushing because of Mr Averys bald spot? Jae looked puzzeld

"I don't know, maybe it's because I'm Sitting Next to Noah!" I teased her, but I also said as if it wasn't a big deal.

"YOUR CUTE NEIGHBOR IS SITTING NEXT TO YOU IN SCIENCE!!! ." She screamed so that the hallway echoed.

" Yes! " I laughed uncontrollably.

We made our way to the cafeteria, we sat by our usual place, the outside bench. that's actually the first place Jae and I met, but that's a story for another time.

"Hey! what do you have for lunch? " Jae never packed lunch, she either had lunch money or she came to our place a raided or pantry after school.

"No, actually- I ate my BCE bagle before getting on the bus today." I said with disappointment on my face, that Bagle was good, I just wanted another one. I started drooling.

"Um-Zoey you're drooling." Jae laughed, handing me a napkin.

"You going to walk me home?" I asked while wiping the drool off of my lip.

"Obviously! where else am I supposed get my limited-edition lunchables.See you after school." JAE giggled and walked off, putting her airpods in her ears.

"Thank you for walking me home Jae!" I thanked her by hugging her.

"No sweat-" 
I noticed she was looking at the houses that surrounded mine.
"-So where does Noah live? " she asked nudging me with her elbow.

"Right there, I pointed at the house that kinda looked like a fairy tale cottage, it had a beautiful garden in the front yard and cobblestone paving leading to white stairs, the house was a light blue colour and had it had a white door."

Suddenly Jae gripped my wrist and pulled me.

"JaE - WhEre - ARe - WE - GOING!!! " I screamed as she pulled by the wrist, we were running towards Noah's House.

Jae stopped outside of his house and took out her lip gloss, she smeered it on my lips, then she took out her travel size perfume and sprayed it on me.

"OK, since you're here, you look like you ready to hang out with him , now you have to say hi!" Jae giggled and ran behide one of the  rose bushes.

I just stood there in shock, I didn't know why, it's not that I had a crush in him or anything - maybe I DID. I can't have a crush on him, I only met him today, at the bus stop! I turned around and looked over at Jae, who was still hiding
behide one of the bushes. She mouthed "Knock on the door."
I couldn't do it, I was numb. My stomach was doing summersaults and backflips. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard-

"Zoey, What are you doing here? "
- it was Noah
"um- i- you see- i- want-"
Jae coughed loudly causing me to snap out of it.
"I wanted to hang out with you, if you don't mind." I asked playing with my fingers I was extremely nervous he could just say no-

"Sure, Come in." Noah signaled for me to come in.
"You too Jae!!" he chuckled and closed the door behind him.

AN: My first chapter for my book Noah Jupe : Fanfiction, hopefully you like it, constructive criticism would be helpful for future chapters/parts. It would also improve my writing for better chapters parts.
