Yoongi's Pov

“A 24 year old male was found dead at his own apartment around 5 pm this afternoon. The neighbours said—” the mint haired man turned his tv off and sighed.

“This serial killing has gone too far, this is like the 15th time this week.” he said as he drank his coffee.

Yoongi quickly reached for his phone and dialed someone.

“Hello.....” a groggy voice said.

“Hey Hoseok, would you mind going to the station with me? I need to get something from the file room.”

“What? Hyung— it's literally 7 in the morning—”

“Hoseok it's really urgent, I need to get the file and start working on it.” yoongi said as he picked his towel and walked to the bathroom.

“What file hyung?” hoseok said.

“The new serial killing case.”

“Wait— are you really taking over it?” the brunette said, suddenly sitting up on his bed.

“Yes, now go ahead and get ready. I'll wait for you at the station.” he said as he hunged up, not wanting the younger ask more any questions.

Hoseok's Pov

“Wait— wait— Hello? Hyung? Are you still there?” he sighed when he doesn't receive any response.

“He hunged up on me again...” hoseok pouted as he get off his bed.

‘Yoongi-hyung doesn't like waiting, I better get ready before he kick my ass off.’ he thought as he went to get ready.

3rd Person Pov

Yoongi arrived at the station, he left the car quickly, not forgetting his things.

“Goodmorning Detective Min.” jackson said when he saw yoongi entering their office.

“Goodmorning to you too Jackson.” yoongi said with a smile.

‘Why hoseok isn't here yet?’ yoongi thought, as if on cue the door flew open revealing a sweaty hoseok.

“Hey, did you just ran from your house?” yoongi said while keeping his smile but failed.

“Hyung I'm just afraid that you'll be mad if i didn't get here that fast— wait—yoongi-hyung, are you smiling? Hey, am i a joke to you? Don't smile, I'm maybe younger but—” he's rant was cut off by yoongi.

“Enough of that seok-ah, we still need to go to Chief Go's office. I need to ask for his permission, before i join the investigation.” yoongi said but the younger didn't budge, still sulking.

Yoongi sighed, “I'm treating you for some churros later—”

“Okay, let's get this done.” hoseok smiled as he hold yoongi's hand and dragged him out of the office.

Yoongi knocked at the door before entering with hoseok. The chief invited the two to sit down.

“What brings you here Detective Min and Detective Jung?” he said while working at the cases that piled up at his table. Hoseok quickly looked at his partner.

“I would like to take over at this case—” he said, bringing up a brown envelope; giving it to the chief. Chief Go raised an eyebrow when he saw the content of the envelope.

“The new serial killing case?”

Yoongi nodded.

“Why should I let you take this case? Detective Min?” he said while flipping the pages.

“I can catch the ‘mysterious’ killer. I knew that there was no lead to that person but I will make sure that this case won't be a cold case, Chief.” yoongi said.

Chief Go looked at him,“You're that confident huh.”

“Yes, we can't just let that person kill more people. I can really do it, I have Detective Jung on my side.”

Chief Go handed the paper back to yoongi.

“I will let you take over this case, in one condition.” he said in a serious tone.

“What is it?” yoongi asked.

“Don't let the media know about this, it's for the safety of the whole force. Detective Min, Detective Jung, I trust you in this.” he said. Yoongi and Hoseok stood up and bowed at him.

“You two can go now.” he said as yoongi and hoseok left the office.
