Title:
5 marks

- Is it cliché or original?

- Is it unique? Did it catch your attention?

- Is it too short or too long?

- Does it relate to the book after reading it?

- Do you easily understand the meaning of the title? Do you think the readers will understand it as well?

Cover:
5 marks

- Is the cover eye-catching?

- Did it catch your attention at first glance?

- Do you think readers will click on that book because of its cover?

Description/Bio:
5 marks

- Is it long enough?

- Is it too short?

- Does it give off what the book is about?

- Is it interesting or boring?

Creativity:
10 marks

- Is the book original?

- Does the vocabulary show? Is it too weak or too strong? Would others be able to understand words within each poem?

- Are the poems interesting or boring?

- Does the first line of each poem catch your attention/pull you in?

The Message:
5 marks

- Do you understand the poems?

- Are the poems confusing?

- What message did you get from each?

- If every poem link, what message did you get from them?

Fluency:
5 marks

- Do the poems flow well?

- Does every poem link? [It's not a problem if they do not link]

🗿

Grammar:
5 marks

- Are words misused or misspelled? Even if they are, do you know what word the poet was trying to write?

Punctuation:
5 marks

- If the poet uses punctuation, does he/she use it properly?

- If the poet does not use punctuation, does it make their work look attractive? Would the readers let it slide? Would you suggest to them to use it?

Writing Style:
10 marks

- Is it like every other poetry book?

- Is the format of each poem attractive?

- Does his/her work look attractive?

Enjoyment:
10 marks

- How much did you enjoy reading?

- Would you recommend this to others?

- Did you relate to any of the poems?

- What are your thoughts?

Overall Enjoyment:
20 Marks

- What would you like to see changed in the poems/poetry book?

- Explain why you gave your mark, what you liked and did not like.
