    She smiled sadly at me, and looked back into the reflecting waters of the pond.

    I nodded, and she soon disappeared, but before I could do anything, I felt a sharp pain, and closed my eyes. When I opened them, I seen a person standing before me, much like my mother, but as I focused on the shape, it soon became evident who this was.

    I stared at him, and then threw myself at him, but when he went to catch me, I fell through his arms, and into the ground behind him, where I sat and rubbed my hands and elbow from where I scraped it on rocks.

  'Nibiri....'  he whispered.  It was almost like his voice was fading with the changing wind current. He was transparent, and his hair, and clothes swayed to the gental breeze in an unnatural way.

    "Hikobane... I miss you..." I hiccuped on a sob, and hugged my knees to my chest.

    He tried to comfort me by holding me like he used to, but he passed right through me. This only made me cry harder, but I stopped when I seen how distressed he had become over my condition.

    "Hikobane, I'm bringing you back." I said sternly.

    I went into great detail about what happened, and how I met mother for the first time, and how to bring him back.

    'are you sure this will work?' He asked.

    "It's worth the effort, don't you think?" I said.

    He nodded, and we talked about how he was, 'overpowered'.

    'Ryzubaro believes that I was overpowered, huh? Well, if by overpowered, did he mean, Jinosuke and that one guy... what's his name, ummm.... ah, that's right! Kira. Jinosuke and Kira ambushed me with a bunch of those stupid demon rats in tow. Jinosuke had Kira and some vector demons hold me down, then he let the rats nest in my heart...' he said.

    I held out the necklace, and said, "I'm killing Jinosuke, and sacrificing him for you.", then  I told him to follow me, and we headed back to the others.

    When we got there I called there attention, so I could tell them of the events that unraveled earlier that night, but before we got back, I turned to Hikobane, and said, "watch this," and I focused all of my energy on transforming, when I was done, and the pain subsided, there I stood, with my glorious and beautiful wings out stretched.

   

    'Beautiful...' he whispered.

    He looked into my eyes, and they started to tear up, but they weren't actual tears, they were a silver color, and sparkled slightly as they slid down his cheek.

    'I'm sorry I left you... I've caused you so much pain, that I can see how you've taken it... your so pail, and dark under the eyes... i'm so sorry Nibiri... I will love you know matter what.' He said.

    I smiled sadly at him, and walked to camp.

    When we met the others, I was immediately mistaken for an enemy, since I had never transformed before, and I was mostly unrecognizable.

    "Who are you!" Enojo yelled as he charged me, before I could answer, he had me by the throat, up against a wall, and my feet were hanging above ground.

    "Ni-nib-Nibiri! It's m-me! Please, le-let g-go!" I gasped.

    His eyes darkened, and turned red, but when I meet his gaze, they sofened, and he let go of me, and hugged me.

    "I'm so sorry Nibiri! I didn't recognize you! I'm so sorry..." he whispered over and over as he tucked me into his lap, and rocked me back and forth, rubbing my back, and stroking my hair.

    "Hey.... guys... you may all want to turn around..." Hajime said.

    They all turned, and gasped at the spectre of Hikobane...

    He stood there, like it was absolutely normal for him to be dead and standing right there.

    "We have things to tell you..." I said, clutching my throat where it was hurting.

    We then explained our new mission to them, and the only conclusion as to where we would find Jinosuke... We needed Kira...
