Prologue:

About this book...

My name is Chris Johnson.  This is my first book.  I've done many things over the past decade and I've written many other things over the past several years including some short stories, at least four feature length screenplays, as well as hundreds of songs and poems.  However, I've never really attempted to promote or sell my material.

Above all else, I consider myself a storyteller.  I think storytellers are invaluable to the world.  Each has a unique perspective on the world and they can see how the interaction should occur between elements within the world they create, using whatever medium(s) they choose to exploit.  There are so many ways to tell a story, even the same one: by the same author even.

In this book, I'm going to try to keep it simple.  It's basically just a love story about two humans: a man and a woman.  However, this may be unlike any courtship story you've ever imagined.  The interesting thing is how possible this scenario could be.  Maybe not today, as I write this, but perhaps very soon.

Well, most of it at least...

Philip Freeman was listening to the latest single from his favorite singer, Sally Stone, as he made a bucket of pizza sauce.  Sally was a multi-platinum selling major label recording artist and performer.  If Philip could be with any celebrity, he thought Sally would be a great match.  It wasn't an unhealthy infatuation, mind you.  Philip just liked her, mainly because of the way he identified with her material, more so than any other artist or band he'd ever heard.  She was far and away number one on his top ten list of celebrities.  But Philip did feel a spiritual connection to her and her songs that was inexplicable.  This particular song was no different and added a piece to the puzzle and to the mystery behind her.  It was a song called, "Perfect for me".  The lyrics were:

I know you're not perfect

And, neither am I

But, you may be perfect for me

And I know you'll hear and see...

If you dig as deeply

As I have with you,

You'd be sure to find

That we'll be just fine.

You know I saw you standing there and

You had to know the way I saw you feel.

What we mistook, what we've dreamed;

If I ever find you again...
